Worst management I have ever encountered. We have been ordering from this location for well over a year and never had any issues until tonight. Honestly, I doubt I will ever spend another penny here again. With the option of so many other pizza places around there really is no need to go somewhere that is managed by such a rude and dismissive woman. I get reflux and heartburn if I try to eat pizza with red sauce so I always order my pizza with white sauce. Hungry Howies employees have always taken my order without explaining to me what exactly they use except to say it is a garlic sauce. I call, they recognize my number and tell me they will make my pizza the "regular" way every time. This time as I am trying to explain to the young man what my order is he tells me he needs to get his manager to figure out how to ring it up. Alexia comes on the phone and immediately tells me there is no such sauce and that I can not have my pizza made the way I am describing. I try to explain to her that her store makes my pizza every time I order and she tells me that there's no white sauce or garlic sauce in a rude clipped voice. I try again to tell her there is definitely something there that they have been putting on my pizza and she tells me that it is not possible. No apologies. No "would you like to just try light pizza sauce or no sauce this time," "I will try to find out what people have been putting on your pizza when the other team members are working so we will be aware and prepared in the future," no, nothing helpful, just extreme attitude. I asked if they have a database with their customers previous orders and she continued to raise her voice as though I am an inconvenience and a bother detailing exactly what shows up on her screen. As I get more flustered and this lady continues to give me attitude I once again tell her there has to be something in her inventory. She actually had the nerve to start naming off sauces that she sarcastically says she could put on my pizza (these are clearly not "white" or garlic btw) such as bbq, buffalo and CHOCOLATE! Seriously. Finally after getting nowhere with her I told her she was very rude and should consider how she speaks to her customers and she again does not apologize but instead talks over me and tells me that I am wrong yet again, this time about her attitude. I told her that I would just wait and try to order when the regular staff is working. Another 2 or 3 minutes of her talking down to me and insisting that wont work either and now here I am no pizza, very irritated, and ready to quit sending dozens of new customers a month to Hungry Howies. I will not send my guests from my job to this place to be potentially mistreated and disrespected by this manager on the off chance they are an inconvenience to her as I was. No one deserves to be treated the way this...
Read moreSo my wife is pregnant and wanted pizza. We ordered HH from their website. We waited 20mintues after the deliver time to call in. Hungry Howies subcontracted DoorDash without my knowledge or permission giving a random 3rd party company my information.
The DoorDash contractor swears he gave me my food. They didn't. As is all too common with DoorDash it was delivered wrong or they kept the meal. The employee said they would remake the food and Hungry Howies would deliver it.
20minutes later they call me and tell me that they aren't going to bring or give me my food because DoorDash won't refund them. The employee called the store owner who called me a liar and told them not to give me the food. The employee admitted they already made the food, but I just couldn't have it. I was very upset given the food was already quite late, I was called a liar, I have a pregnant wife, and I literally order from here constantly.
I try to get the employee to patch me through to his manager who is the franchise owner. He said the owner explicitly refused to speak to me. After 3 hour late and about 2hour fighting with support I gave up. They said they'd refund me eventually, when they felt like it. They told me if I had a problem with it I could contact DoorDash. A party that I had never agreed to participate in our transaction.
Until this Hungry Howies is disenfranchised I will not eat at Hungry...
Read moreI wanted to give five stars because I love Hungry Howie pizza - better than most places in my opinion. I picked up the pizza and my image of the two employees I could not get out of my head - the one with long blond hair tried with a great deal of effort to pull his very long stringy hair back in a pony tail and as he was trying you could see 1/2 plumberâs crack - as his pants were falling down below hips. Years ago we call this a grungy appearance. The other guy not much better. Sorry, but a presentable appearance translates (to me) into maintaining health codes when food is prepared. It does make a lasting impression. And itâs not the one I wanted while I ate my pizza. Yea, the Dress for Success book was a big hit in my era - no matter were you work take pride in yourself and the job. I donât think I could go back to...
