My Wife and I were in the area from out of town and we stopped in and tried the cider. Before I get to the cider I just wanted to say how welcomed we felt by the extremely friendly staff. They were engaging in conversation from the time we opened the door on our way in, until the door shut behind us on our way out. Now I wish this place were not nearly 4 hours from my house because it is one of if not the best cidery I have been to. From what I tasted, I didn't have a cider that I didn't like. My wife and I each did a flight of 4 each so we ultimately got to taste 8 ciders in total. My favorite (which seems to be a crowd favorite as well) was the "Angry Spanker" which is a unique cider that they infuse with Jalapeño. I have had other 'spicy' ciders and beers in the past, however this one had just the right amount of kick in the finish to make it enjoyable and not leave your mouth burning. They can also make this into a bloody Mary for you and let me tell you on my way home I stopped by a store and bought some bloody Mary mix because it was so good that I need to make it at home. My wife's favorite was the "Winter Shanty" which tastes like "Christmas in a glass" I am intrigued to try warming a little bit of this one just to see how it would taste slightly warm. We left buying 2 cans of each of our favorites but about an hour down the road realized we made a mistake and didn't buy more. In conclusion if you ever are in the Ann Arbor area or just passing through the great state of Michigan you need...
Read moreAmazing place we have here in this small community. The decor is lake and antique boating. They used local reclaimed barnwood for the ceiling and bar. The nicest people you will meet who want to share their passion for award winning cider with Pinckney. I was never a cider guy, as a homebrewer of beer. Their cider changed me on that. It isn't the sweet, processed, commercial stuff. Most is only mildly sweet, and some are dry and oak aged. A few even have adjuncts like cinnamon or cherries, which pair very well. Definitely give this place a try with a flight or two to get a sample of all that fine cider can be. Super impressive and glad it is...
Read moreWe absolutely love this place. Just discovered them a few weeks ago and have already been back. It's an hour and a half drive for us but SO worth it. Not only is the staff incredibly friendly and so funny but the other patrons (seemingly a lot of local regulars) are also so welcoming. The outdoor area is great, perfect way to spend the afternoon/evening. We've been there on a Friday night and Saturday late afternoon/early evening and they've had live music starting at 6pm. All the ciders are so good. We can't wait til our next visit! Such a gem! Wish we lived closer so we could...
