If you come from the south, you won't appreciate how they operate here.
We spent $60+ on food (drive-through), not bad in itself, just a little background information.
When we got to the window we asked if they do a military discount. The girl at the window replied in a snarcky attitude, "No, we don't do ANY discounts." Cool, so you don't show any appreciation to our military or first-responders. And are apparently proud of it.
We then asked if they could throw some sweet BBQ sauce in one of the bags. She responded with "That will cost extra." Um, what? Y'all charge people for BBQ sauce? We weren't asking for extra, just some initial sauce. Do y'all charge people inside the restaurant to use your BBQ or ketchup containers? Real BBQ establishments don't charge you for sauce, it's a staple. Completely blew our minds.
Food was medicore. Ribs are boiled, then put on some electric smoker to give you that "smokey" flavor. They're NOT fully cooked in a smoker, hence the reason you don't see any smoke billowing out if their roof. And the beans? Flavor was OK, but in my whole cup of baked beans, there were only about 10 beans...the rest was the bean sauce..or soup? I really had bean soup I guess.
We are visiting from the south, and we're completely turned off by the whole experience with this establishment.
Do NOT recommend. What we experienced was proof of greed, and not actually care for those they serve.
How to fix: Show some appreciation for our military and first responders, don't charge people for dadgum BBQ sauce, try smoking your ribs all the way through, and fix your baked beans...
Read moreI really hate to give this place two stars but honestly that's the experience that I had. We were going to stop at taco bell, but this was right next door. The drive thru was wrapped around, and the parking lot was too. Naturally we thought this place must be awesome if the locals are in here like that.
Unfortunately this was not the case. I would gladly drive past this place and get taco bell instead if I had it to do again. The BBQ was okay at best. I got the pulled pork on texas toast with slaw and fries. The BBQ was overcooked and kinda bland. My girl got the ribs and they were just kinda...
Read moreReviews are off the charts good and there's a reason for it. Good, friendly people, reasonably priced menu and good food. A/C was quite pleasant as well. Cam and her big smile are a nice welcoming, and she even fresh-brewed the coffee! I had a nice meal here and was able to relax and enjoy it in a clean restaurant. BBQ places are notorious for being sticky, but tables, floor, and counter all Very Clean, and the place smells Fresh. It's worth your time stopping if you are traveling ...and if you are a local...well, it's high time you scoot on back over here and get your bbq fix! Thank You...
