Dexter Queen — Restaurant in Dexter

This place was amazing until the owner died now its ran by smart mouth kids that when they mess up your order they act like its your fault. So I went and got cheeseburgers for the kids and a pork nacho for the wife. Get the food and no nachos. The order for 3 cheeseburgers and the nachos was 42 bucks they first tried to say they didnt charge me for the nachos so they said 3 cheeseburgers cost 42 dollars no drink 1 fry. Than after they figured out o wait we did charge her and they were going to make the nachos which they said would take 15 min I asked if I could have new fries with the order because the ones they gave me would be cold by the time the food came they said o no you have to keep them I said well that's kinda not fair because you guys messed up the order not me so I want fresh fries they started yelling and acting like they are children. The God rest his soul old owner the father of the now new owner would never in a million years allow this. Especially to a customer that is a regular. The manager that was there was the one acting like a fool yelling and being completely disrespectful. She had brownish hair with highlightes on the tips (faded) she was about 5"7 5"8 I didnt get her name because she would stop being disrespectful long enough for me to ask. I hope this is seen by the new owner and the problem is resolved because I will not return with that kid...

I started going to Dexter Queen back in the late 70’s when I was a teenager. You could smell the bar q being smoked from down the road. The hamburgers were fresh pressed and tasted awesome. The mustard sauce on the bar b que was to die for. Throughout the years I have visited this place for a bar b que because the were the best to be found in this small rural town. Sadly over time they aren’t as delicious as they were back in the day. The other day I called in an order for a bar b que and fries to be picked up at the drive through window. It was ready when I got there. What surprised me was the cost of these two items over $7. Way too expensive. As I mentioned earlier they use to be the best around but the taste is not nearly as great as it use to be. I don’t know if its because of the new owners or a new smoking method. One thing is for sure the buns were drenched in oil/grease. The person I picked this up for wasn’t able to eat it. We will give them another chance and cross or fingers that it will...

WILL NOT GO BACK!!! Took my son in for ice cream and noticed when the employee was making it, he wasn’t wearing gloves while he was putting the banana slices on top. I asked “Sir, can you please remake that and wear gloves?” He obliged. As he was remaking the ice cream, his boss started shouting from the kitchen to me saying “you know we aren’t required by the state to wear gloves, right?” I said “I don’t care if you’re supposed to or not, I don’t want my son eating off of this man’s hands”. The owner then said “So you made me waste an ice cream over your son?” I told him I didn’t physically make him waste the ice cream, and the owner could still eat it. The owner didn’t like that comment and threatened calling the cops on me and said I was banned from coming back. Thank you for making that decision easy for me.
