Donut Hole — Restaurant in Dickinson

I stopped in here to check out their donuts since there aren't really any donut places in town. I picked a chocolate glaze donut, a strawberry filled donut, and a blueberry muffin. The blueberry muffin tasted very good and was nice and moist, not dry at all. The donuts on the other hand were not good. They were dry, bland, no flavor, and not sweet. The lady at the counter didn't seem very friendly as you would expect a staff member to be when greeting a customer. She had a blank expression while attending me. I dont like leaving negative reviews but unfortunately, I would not recommend this place. Although they had a large selection and variety of donuts and pastries to choose from, they didn't seem...

The donuts are dry, the apple fritters are dry, the long johns are dry... even the filled ones!! How even... They will do orders if asked ahead of time which is really nice, but why would you? What they lack in quality they make up for in quanity as there is a huge variety, not that I would want over-priced dry donuts in different flavors... My father-in-law was a baker, so I know a good donut when I see one. When I mentioned how dry they were to them they were indignant and told me I didnt have buy...

I never write reviews but after eating this donut I am. Hands down, no questions asked the greatest strawberry ring donut I have ever had. A standard yeast frosted ring donut but with strawberry jelly and cream pockets perfectly spaced around the interior of the ring so that each bite has either strawberry or cream. No spillage or uneven bites.

Why no one else is doing this is beyond me. This has honestly changed the way I look at frosted versus jelly donuts...
