Silver Spike Restaurant & Bar — Restaurant in Dilworth

I understand everyone is short staffed and things sometimes take a little longer than you would like but at some point you have to give up and leave. We got there and got seated at a table and waitress brought our drinks fairly quickly and left. She came back about 10 minutes later to get our order and we still hadn’t even been given menus. Got menus and were basically ignored after that. She had other things to do like get people checks, etc. which is of course normal but I figured she would get back to us. Several other groups came in behind us. Saw our waitress take their drink orders and get them to those tables. Then went back to those 2 tables and started taking their orders while still ignoring us like she totally forgot we were there. We weren’t seated in some out of the way table, but right in the open where she walked about 10 feet from us as she served others. We put our coats on and then she noticed us and said she could take our order now. Nope, by this time we had been in there around a half hour, maybe a bit more and had enough. Through all of this a person in blue jacket walked around seemingly not really doing much to help like bus tables or help with orders… Every person in place had one speed and it wasn’t very fast. For every member of the staff I saw there appeared to be virtually no effort to give prompt service. Too bad, was looking forward to trying...

The server seemed annoyed to return to our table once the food was served. She did the typical "how is everything?" Then did not return unless we flagged her down. The chicken on the nachos was from a can.. the sauce on the nachos was too sweet. After asking for a to go box, which she rolled her eyes to have to deliver, we Sat there for a long time to get the box. There were very few other tables there (2:30 PM)... So not like she was swamped. My table companion has a vision challenge so we dropped the blinds on the window right next to our table because the light coming in made her eye tear so bad she needed a tissue to manage that until we pulled the blind down. Some guy came into the area mid table service for us and proceeded to raise all of the blinds in the room.. B4 he started reaching for the one near our table I explained why it was drawn. He paused, seemed annoyed to change his plan to open it ... And said "I guess I can wait until you're done here." Our reaction WOW ... Do ya think? 😳 My friend's husband is in memory care in the adjacent facility.. this outing was supposed to be a relaxed, fun memory for her...that was riddled with the above things mentioned that ..WE PAID...

I'm giving this a 2 out at a 5 stars. 1 star the ambiance , which is a new establishment and 1 star for the initial service ,which was great up until the point where it seems like we were getting kicked out because we didn't like the food. I ordered a simple bacon cheeseburger, which they forgot the bacon when they first brought out, which was fine. But the burger was hockeypucked. Black, no juices and the burger felt like a frozen, which they said it was definitely not. The fries were definitely frozen. When I accepted them to cook it again they told me it would come out the same way because of the a MN state law that says it couldn't be cooked Medium. Which I know is BS. When we had this disagreement we were told to "Just Go!" Also my wife ordered a Avocado wrap. And she was eating halfway through eating before she discovered guess what....no Avocado. We were not charged for the meals but we left $20 on the table because I did have 3 bites of the burger, 2 fries and the half non Avocado wrap. This was a Saturday at 2 pm. We did up having to go to another resturaunt and the food quality was so...
