Ryan's Deli — Restaurant in Dingman Township

I wasn't going to do this but I had a horrible experience there yesterday for the first time since going for almost 10+ years now. I lived in this area 40+ years and watched this placed built up from nothing. I drove my mother there to get 1lb of turkey for her cold cuts because she likes boars head. Which any of us know they are the only ones who carry it around here. It was 1:30pm when we arrived, my kids were with me since it was around lunch time we ordered a sandwich and two orders of chicken tenders. My mother wanted to get sliced turkey (1lb) to which the girl with glasses, semi curly hair snapped at my mom telling her she has to wait the minimum of 30mins for 1lb of sliced meats because its lunch time and there's only one slicer. It upset my mom and i told her to take the kids outside and I'll handle it. I was not having that. I worked for a deli for 23 yrs, I told the girl well then I'll wait to which she shot me a horrible look. Meanwhile because i had to wait i watched over 14 different customers come and go ordering food and leaving and I was still waiting for 1 stinking lb of turkey. Slicing cold cuts is easy peasy, and takes no time, why wasn't my meat sliced with my order when it was being prepared? Why did I have to wait 30mins!!! to get cold cuts. YOU ARE A DELI, RIGHT? I want people to know this, because its unprofessional to treat locals with such disregard. Get another slicer if this is an issue. There were plenty of staff on hand that could've sliced my turkey. The poor girl at the check out counter kept apologizing to me. I want that other young lady to apologize because she was the problem. Rude, obnoxious, and lazy! Get...

used to get my breakfast here often but not anymore.. I ordered 4 sandwiches this morning , 3 of which were wrong.. The lady with the stick figure tattoos on her arm who rung me up at the counter seemed high as a kite and she was unpleasant to deal with.. I ordered a hot buffalo chicken sandwich, which was freezing cold when I picked it up. I got a sausage bacon egg and cheese sandwich, which had no sausage and raw bacon. I got a bacon egg and swiss bagel, which had american cheese on it.. When I called up to let them know my orders were wrong, the lady I spoke with told me to bring the sandwiches back, I was unable to with how bad the weather was today so she asked me to bring the sandwiches back the next day.. And that I would be "credited extra meat next time I ordered" because the sandwich I payed for today did not have it on it. And that I would be "credited the cheese on the sandwich" next time I order.. Mind you my family was unable to eat 3 of the 4 sandwiches.. But when I went back the next time I would only be credited for the extra meat and wat I guess is an extra charge for changing cheeses? haha ok no thanks. Extremely unprofessional and rude.. I was disgusted with my service from today. Not wasting my time or money here...

The quality has drastically gone down hill sadly, I'm not sure what's going on. I understand staffing issues but we have been customers for 20 years and this is the worst it has been. We called in today, waited on hold for 30 minutes before we gave up and my husband just went and ordered in person instead. We get the same order every single time and this round it's completely inedible. My husband sandwich has ingredients he never asked for including onions and peppers drenched in vinegar with mayo??? and mine is completely saturated with balsamic vinegar and falling apart and also has wrong ingredients on it. This is inedible and expensive for a dinner I now have to replace. I'm extremely disappointed considering Ryan's has been one of our favorites for literally decades. I guess it's time to try something new.

edit: this review is nearly one year old and for some reason I get a response now? just FYI this is a Godfather sandwich off of your menu that I have ordered for literally 15+ years. I am local but thanks for the implication that I am confused. The fact that you think this is eggplant is...
