Mi Casa Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Doniphan

Food was good. Menu variety was ok. Tea tasted burned. My negative review resides on the fact that my friend never got a refill until we were done eating. We had forced gratuity added to our check... as well as the waiter kept my change in his hand while he waited other tables and finally refilled the drink my friend was waiting on. Not busy. 4 tables total were occupied. He visited tables 6 times, twice to us, while KEEPING MY CHANGE... waited till we got up and headed out... he still was not going to give me my change.. I had to tell him to give me my change. WILL NOT return. We do not support businesses that force gratuity... as such in our case, the service was very poor. Gratuity is for GOOD SERVICE RENDERED! (and for those saying, maybe he forgot about holding the this folder with my change, um. no. He returned and gave two folks at our table their receipts (used cards)... still didn't hand me mine...

04/08/2022: portions are good reasonable prices: Poor service I ordered a bean and regular cheese burrito and rice and beans cheese enchilada and Chili riano and the other order was pineapple with chicken pineapple and shrimp but was asked to hold the shrimp and mango sauce. They brought my plate first and got the whole order wrong, the burrito, enchilada, chili reono all had cheese sauce on them. They took my plate back scrapped the cheese sauce off of everything put verda sauce on top brought it back and the food was cold then I had to ask twice for my beans and rice. They finally brought out the pineapple with chicken and lots of shrimp, they did not hold the shrimp thank god he isnt allergic! Its getting worse. I have dined here several times. Evening meals here have been pleasant. The staff have been friendly, helpful, and prompt. The food during supper hours has been fantastic. But today we had lunch here and were sorely disappointed. The staff was not attentive. The host zipped around the corner when taking us to the table, tossed the menus on a table (while we weren't caught up to him and seeing) and we had to guess what table because he was gone. It took the server about 10 minutes to get our order. My food was fine but my husband ordered shrimp nachos and was given chicken nachos with ONE piece of shrimp. When we told her that it was wrong she mutter "oh my god" as she walked off and brought back the nachos with just two more pieces of shrimp on it. We will probably not be back for...
