We love staying at the resort! We always stay in the back.
But this restaurant is awful! 2 years ago we were here for the winter, loved it so came back.
Tried the restaurant for the second time, and it's just as bad.
Biscuits are hard and cold. Eggs, cold. Fried potatoes, cold. Pancakes, stuck to pan cold. Bacon, greasy and cold. Sausage cold. $17.99/ person is stupid high for cold food, let alone trying to cater to the older people on a fixed income in the resort.
The chef sat down at a table and started talking, saying they used to make 400 omelets on Sundays...now maybe 120!😳It might be his fault?🤷♀️And maybe he shouldn't be telling people that? Same manager from 2 years ago, same chef making omelets, which I didn't know was available... only Belgian waffles. Might be management?
Waitress could only say, everything ok? But not notice water is empty.🤷♀️
They tried to warm the food up when you should really just start the hell over and make fresh.
Never again! Coffee was the only hot thing available. Don't even try it. It's not worth any price, cold or not, it's bland, greasy, old, and outdated place that shouldn't even try.
Oh, but I was offered an omelet, after the fact. I wasn't hungry then. I...
Read moreToday was our first time at the Victoria Palms restaurant, and it defiantly won’t be our last. I seldom write a review but our experience demands it! Firstly our waiter Enrique was outstanding! He was the best wait person I recall being served by in the RGV, in my over 20 years as a Winter Texan, now an official Tx voting resident! His service was what I’m accustomed to receiving in my many comped visits to LV. The fish and salad bare was excellent, the best we’ve had in the Valley, after searching for the “go to” fish fry for years! I don’t know why it took so long to give them a try. The only slight drawback some may find is that the fish & fries are served in a basket, but with a check of under $25 for the two of us, theirs no complaint here. The restaurant ambiance is also very upscale. Thank you again Enrique!!! Jerry DeChaney &...
Read moreFirst timers staying at the resort, we are ThousandTrails members. Not the greatest atmosphere, when you walk in you think...Catered Food?? Am i at a convention? But to our surprise the food was not bad. We had the Lasagna the first time and it was good. Went back a second time and the Burger and fries were great must be half pound. The wife had the hot roast beef sandwich and it was also great. Had a second meal at the rig with both, servings are big!! Did not visit for breakfast. Little slow on getting food out..but worth the wait!! The salad bar is only 6 foot long..don't expect much. More like a fruit bar. They should rethink this, needs...
