LET'S GO KARAOKE — Restaurant in Doraville

We did have a lot of fun but there were a couple of things that really detracted from the evening. First, the lack of good English translation around the establishment was problematic. Upon arrival, seeing everything in Korean we thought it would be kind of fun. It wasn't. It was just frustrating. Does the cancel button cancel the song or the whole queue? Well, the whole queue one time, then nothing the rest of the night. Second, the remote was not functioning, After muddling through figuring out what each button was SUPPOSED to do, we has to resign ourselves to just adding to a never ending queue. No skipping accidental duplicates, couldn't cancel the queue as a whole, couldn't view the queue, etc. Third, the drinks were weak. Over the course of 4 hours I had 3 mixed drinks and 3 shots. I had also had one strong drink at home before going (I was the passenger). Leaving, I had ZERO feeling of inebriation. To me, that indicates weak drinks. Last, the food selection was extremely limited and not particularly good. It was very much like the food you'd get in a cheap movie theater. For better or worse, that's a good comparison without going into a lot of details. Pretty expensive evening for these issues. The atmosphere was nice and there was plenty of parking.

What disappointed me was the logistical side. I made a reservation in advance for a large group. 15 min before my reservation time, I got a call asking to move our time back for a larger room. Since it was so close to our original resevation time, people were already on their way. I asked if it was possible to go to the smaller room first and then be moved to the large room. They agreed so my group and I started out in a smaller room, with the promise we would be moved in 30 min. Once 30 min was up, they said it would actually be 1 hour. And then they added on another 20 min because the room was still not vacated. We never ended getting the large room even though I had made the reservation 2 weeks in advance. So that was pretty disappointing as the room got very hot and people didn't have places to sit.

They let us bring in a cake since it was for a birthday and they do serve alcohol and the staff was friendly.

Came here last night for my birthday with about 20+ people. Staff who greeted us were super nice. The room they put us in was freezing and stayed that way all night. The UI for the machines was in Korean which we learned after fumbling around for a few songs. The song selection was pretty terrible and books are only available by song not by artist which made it tough to find anything. After about a half hour, the songs started to pause for a minute between songs which was pretty akward. I tried to troubleshoot with staff and couldn’t figure it out. Asked owner for a few additional minutes to make up for the constant pauses and he basically laughed in my face. I tried to make the best of it but wouldn’t return...
