This is our first time coming here and left with our belly filled with good Korean food! The side dishes were very tasty as if mama made it with love. We ordered seafood pancakes, stir fried spicy squid, seafood tofu stew with Garbi combo. Stir fried spicy squid reminded me homemade dish that I have been looking for and they cooked it with chunks of squids! Seafood pancakes had plenty of seafood in every bites and the dipping sauce was very authentic! Garbi-Korean short ribs could have used a little bit of more flavor but overall everything on our table were very delicious! We are definitely coming back to try some other dishes!
9-2020. We returned to Yet Tuh, again. The place was empty. They had a couple that just ate and getting ready to leave. We sat and the lady gave us the menu. As we were looking at the menu, we notice the a man, who works there. He was reading his new paper, picking his ears, his teeth. Once I placed an order, that same guy got up and went to the back and start cooking!!! Did not wash his hands! My husband and I said "NO". We told the lady to cancel the order. She asked why... I explained exactly what he was going prior to going into the kitchen. She was so upset and called him "사장님". I think he is the owner??? But we will never return to Yet Tuh! You have to really pay attention cause who knows how long he has been cooking meals with his...
Read moreI was surprised to see that the restaurant was not busy on a Sunday evening. This was a spot I used to describe as a place to go if you're craving Grandma's cooking for a consistent experience. After tonight's experience I see why it was not busy and that inflation has taken its toll.
I ordered the 우거지 갈비탕 (beef soup with cabbage). It was mostly cabbage with 3 small pieces of bone in beef. One piece had hardly any meat on it. The broth definitely didn't taste like it was simmering for a long time. It tasted a bit watered down. The soup was disappointing.
The seafood pancake was large and extra crispy. However, the seafood serving definitely shrank significantly.
My friends ordered combos with beef short rib. They each got 3 pieces. I expect a smaller portion as a combo but 3 seems off. It's still just under $30 for a tofu soup and galbi combo.
The banchan was the typical variety (cucumber kimchi, sauteed green veggies, fishcake, radish kimchi) and had good flavor. The server refilled two dishes for us.
The server was kind and attentive to one person in my party's dietary restriction. But we did not get one refill of water.
Overall, this was a disappointing experience and I do not think I will go back. Korean food on Buford highway seems to be phasing out, sadly. Guess we need to...
Read moreWe were passing through Atlanta and came here on a whim with a friend we met in Seoul while studying abroad. It took us right back, this is exactly the kind of restaurant quality food and atmosphere that we would get in Korea. Everything we got was incredible and delicious, pajeon was crispy soups were flavorful and full of meat tofu and veggies and the mandu was korean style (easily not Chinese style from the frozen aisle). The pork belly was cooked perfectly and was high quality meat. We ordered a lot but I was pleasantly surprised when it all came out very quickly. None of the whitewashed stuff that Americans expect, this is where the Koreans know they're going to eat good food. This being said, a lot of these reviews are about the service. It's the same you would expect in Korea, just know you're not going to keep getting checked up on or interrupted by someone asking if you need stuff. When you need something call the staff politely and they will help you graciously. When you're ready to pay, go to the front counter and they ring you up. So if you're worried about "bad" service, don't be. Our party had a really special moment in Atlanta reliving our time eating out in South Korea. If I return to this city I'll...
