My fiancé made us drive to this location for breakfast a couple weekends ago (even though we were already RIGHT by the one at Northlake) ... he was convinced it had better food and service... and it USED TO. I remember there used to be a manager that ran this location that you could just TELL had a military background. He looked like he had been up since 5am, uniform pressed, bed made... and he ran a tight ship. I remember seeing him working personally with a younger gentleman who had clearly just started there... going over all the nit-picky details of cleaning every crevice behind the counter. Food came out fast, it was good, and the staff looked efficient. He's clearly been MIA for some time now, as the time we last went... I kid you not, we waited for FORTY MINUTES for our food. I had to send mine back. TWICE. Our coffee cups were constantly empty (not even cold... EMPTY!) our sides were forgotten about, and our poor waitress told us she was on hour 15 of her overnight shift. After also hearing on Nextdoor about how their current manager was degrading and harassing an employee in front of customers, we won't be returning to this location. WH Corporate needs to take close note of what's happening at this one....

I'm in here once a season or so as it's close to my work. I was raised on Waffle House. My dad owned a service station with a Waffle House in the parking lot.
The staff varies here but is generally friendly and on the ball. Today, was not their best day. I caught them in the middle of cleaning up between shift change and the cook seemed to be new.
Okay, keep in mind that those are the words of somebody who's been eating a Waffle Houses since the early seventies. Still, my chicken and eggs, or as Paul Simon would say, the "mother and child reunion," was still tasty and delicious.
It's worth noting that they had a sign saying that there were only to-go orders on Friday and Saturday night between 8:30 and 6:00 a.m. Accordingly, they have installed walk up Windows for "Order here" and "Pick up here" like a small town 70s burger stand.
Even with a few rough edges in today's experience, this is one of the better Waffle Houses. For $14+tip it's hard to beat this freshly cooked, hot meal with friendly...
