This review is written as constructive criticism. Cookie catered the food for my parents 50th anniversary vow renewal ceremony. The food was very delicious and everything was delivered and set up in a timely manner. However, Cookie was informed that we were missing yams that we contracted her to deliver with the remaining food items. Instead of immediately looking into the matter, she was expressively combative and stated yams were never requested. After going in circles through text messages and the contract, she realized she was wrong. We stopped by Cookie’s Corner Cafe on our way from Atlanta to Destin. When we walked in, it smelled like my grandma’s house on Thanksgiving! There was a bit of a line already at 11:00am but we only waited about 5 minutes before placing our order. My meal was the baked chicken, steamed cabbage, and candied sweet potatoes. My husband had the fried chicken, cabbage and potato salad. The food was AMAZING. It was hot, fresh, cooked well and seasoned better than what we expected. So I went to Cookies yesterday everything fantastic I got fried chicken Mac n cheese and cabbage! I went back today and got fried chicken greens and yams (only because it was so delicious the day before) but when I got ready to eat my second peice of chicken and tore it into my chicken was not thoroughly cooked it still had blood coming from the inside 🤮.
