This is the worst place to go to coming from seeing what went on in the facility my husband came home with over 10 kilos of fluid. Took him to the gym 2 times his entire stay after he just lost his legs instead of them removing the sutures šŖ” from his above the knee amputation they failed to follow Drs orders and barely changed his dressing he had to beg. Wound care was supposed to see him daily I seen her one time when he first got there and left them in so long now he has about 2 inches of his nub of a hip wide open he is a diabetic and on dialysis. I stayed the entire time and feel so bad for old people that are screaming help somebody I need my nurse to help me" is incredibly sad. You call a nurse the techs just come in and shut the call light off so nobody would come for pain meds change your dressing and diaper he was always told to wait till next shift.(Nighttime) They do NOTHING SO THANK GOD FOR ME I WOULD DO IT. They said my husband was ready to go home And fully recovered at that and I even called Medicare and they denied the appeal I did everything I could to get him more time because he lost both legs at the same time and who knows what they told them. I told them he wasn't ready and I told you I needed him to know how to use his strength well they did the opposite. My goal having him there was to get in and out of a car on the sliding board well no they didn't I have to call 911 because he was gonna fall. They even had a hard time and the ambulance dropped him 2 times on the ground trying to get him in the car and the Dr said this is why "I DO NOT SEND MY PATIENTS TO ENCOMPASS" I SEE WHY they don't spend but a half an hour in the morning and an hour in the afternoon. Patience is a virtue. You have to have patience with people to be a nurse in a rehabilitation center you don't like your job GET OUT. My husband is only 47 years old and he never wants to go back to an institution again because of the terrible quality of care while he was there. Sent him home with 5 mg pain meds that did nothing for him and he got both legs amputated a week apart. Now we have been discharged since the 17th not one person called to come check on my husband change his bandages (because he can't be wet). He has bed sores they told me cleared up on his private parts and he can't even help when I change his diaper but at least I change it. They will let you sit in it and my husband would keep pushing the button and I wouldnt complain I didn't want them to take it out on him. But after seeing them struggle to get the sutures out It is now opened up his wound about a 2 in and he might need to go back and have them stitch it back up again because incompass did not follow directions and take the stitches out so they were grown so far into his leg it caused it to open and now has an opened womb their nurses they know what stitches should look like when they need to be taken out and SBJS said that's completely neglect on their part they neglected my HUSBAND and I'm furious! You name it I will be calling the board. He was not ready to go home and now I have a vegetable 47 years old they ruin this man I would not recommend this for nobody not even somebody's grandmother or grandfather not even for a child. Not even my animal. Please pay attention to your loved ones and listen to them because they are telling the truth. So my husband came home with a wheelchair and can't get in and out with a big wheel and now he has no strength. I'm angry š” I can't believe it took 2 nurses to get his sutures out and it wasn't even the doctor that did the leg each leg was done by a different doctor. Intensive rehab my butt there's no intensive in the word for on encompass health/ rehabilitation. I call it trash and take your š¤š°. That's it! So now you will be talking to my attorney for neglected and not even calling to ask there were orders never done. When they denied the appeal they were trying to kick us out then. But it was too late and the ambulance wouldn't take me. But please a nursing home you get more rehab then...

Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy grandfather had open heart surgery at a great hospital in Dothan, AL. He was sent after 2 weeks in the hospital to this facility. I am a traveling nurse at all sorts of similar facilities. The admissions process when we first arrived was thorough and all the nurses and doctors were helpful and answered all the questions we had. After his first night there he wasn't sleeping so we requested melatonin. He didn't receive it for the first time until Sunday when it was requested Friday morning. His lower legs where very swollen so he was unable to have compression stockings but they were not wrapping them with anything to try to combat the problem. So he ended up having areas that were weeping fluid opening him up to more infection. When the problem was brought up to the case manager she was told by the nurse they were not weeping anymore. When we walked in to visit they were weeping all over his pants. They FINALLY got the wound nurse in to put wraps on them. Also they had orders from the hospital to put a antibacterial ointment on his chest wound twice a day and they never did it. They would wait for me to come in (visiting hours are 3-8) and insist that I do it. And the scab fell off one of his wounds from the tape burn over night and she just laid the bandage in the room, while I was in the bathroom, and told my grandfather that it needed put on after his shower. Most of the CNA's had attitudes and didn't seem like they want to be there, just walking in and dropping his tray without asking if he needed help opening things. All of this is why I wouldn't send my dog to this place!!!! If I could give 0...
