Magic Mugs — Restaurant in Dover

When I moved to Dover a few months ago I was worried I might not be able to find the quality of coffee drink or welcoming atmosphere that I was used to in a bigger city. Not to mention, I come from working at a small locally owned coffee startup myself for 3 years— I have high standards for my coffee experience.

Then I found Magic Mugs & knew it was my spot. Chloe, Derek & Sophie are the absolute dream team. They make high quality drinks and make you feel like you are coming home when you walk in the door. They remember you, they start conversations with you & they are always seeking to make the community a better place. The decor, original art and collection of books & games is just icing on the cake.

I stopped here during a brief trip to Amish Country area and I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in. The workers (Owners?) were very friendly, made me a good coffee (I had no food, but next time I will), and I enjoyed the acoustic guitar hanging on the wall. The Mini NES area was really cool too and there are plenty of comfortable places to sit. I have been to many countries and most of the states, but rarely found such a neat little introvert-heaven coffee shop as this. Surprise to find it in Dover, OH... We stopped here very quickly while on a trip through Dover. They were closing early that day which we didn't know, so we got there with about 10-15 minutes to spare. The employee who took our order was so kind and helpful! I needed a whole bag of ground coffee, which I hated asking for since they were so close to closing, but she prepared it in no time at all and it was so fresh and delicious!
