Dairy Queen — Restaurant in Downers Grove

Worst customer service.....I order a banana split and pay for it. The girl at the starts making it and says she is out of bananas. I say just make it without bananas as a Sunday. She hands it to me and I ask for the price difference back. She says that she can give me something else but no refund in the price difference. I don't need anything else, and she will not refund my difference. How can a business cheat you openly???? I am not even certain she understood English, and I assume her parents own the store......she was rude and cheated me out of money. I can understand why this sure gets no business, as we go to DQs at least twice a week. The one in 75th street is professional, nice and honest. This place...

My mother & I went there about 8pm today. My mother had a large strawberry shake, & I had a banana split. There was a line to the door when we got there, but in spite of that fact, with the store having two Windows open taking customer orders, we were having our order taken within just five minutes after we had gotten there. I was very happily surprised that we got served that fast, with as many people that were in front of us when we got there. Also, as one would expect, our was done just right. Hit the spot, then went home after having had our treats. We will for sure go back again.I myself have been going ther siince 1976! So you know for sure that I have no intent of stopping going there...

I liked this place, but I wish they had a large take home freezer section. I guess I can’t blame them for that since it makes sense for stores to only carry what sells, especially when its franchise run like this one is. However, because it does not have this option I go all the way to the one off of Ogden and Cass because they have star kiss bars in a six pack box like I want. They have cherry dipped cones so they get five stars. Great staff, they always need another person, but that is the same about all locations. I feel terrible when it’s one person trying to run...
