Sarpino's Pizzeria Downers Grove — Restaurant in Downers Grove

My husband & I was at a marriage retreat for the weekend. We placed an order for pizza & chicken tenders and had it delivered to our hotel room. The pizza was awful & the chicken tenders we're dry. Definitely wasn't something to brag about. We only ate 1 slice & 1 tender each. It was a total waste of $29. We didn't complain, we just knew we would never order from ANY Sarpinos again. Well, 2 days later after reviewing our checking account we noticed Sarpinos charged us $61. REALLY?? How does a total of $29 jump to $61???? Easy....the delivery driver altered the receipt and the tip went from $2 to $32. We immediately called the store. The store owner quickly said he would refund $30, no apologies or an explanation. We asked for a copy of the receipt that was submitted from the driver to see how he altered it and "G" (the store owner) said he would send it via email. It's been 3 days and we have NOT gotten anything via email. He also said he would call his driver to see what happened & call us back, we havent received a return phone call yet. We even contacted corporate on Monday and NO ONE has called us back. What type of business is this? We can NOT believe that a business would allow anything of this matter to occur and not provide an explanation or the receipt the driver submitted. Watch your account, because Sarpinos employs dishonest people!!! It's mighty strange no one wants to provide us with additional information or follow up as promised. It makes me wonder if this is something that occurs quite often and majority of the time it's not caught by the customers. Ripping people off is NOT GOOD BUSINESS...

Very mad about my service I always order food from here because I work at The extended stay close to this location. When I took a bite into my food it was so cold the cheese from the mozzarella sticks were still hard and cold the pizza didn’t have pepperoni only sausage and I asked for both!!! I call back to let them know and the girl told me I would be able to still keep this food and bring me a fresh one in a HOUR mind you I’m at work already clocked out for lunch thinking I’m going to eat my food and it was cold! We get a half price discount on our orders but the manger calls the front desk back and says we will be taking the old food back meaning I don’t get anything besides new food that I have to wait ANOTHER HOUR FOR. he said because I get half off they don’t do nothing about it? So because I get half off I deserve cold food? And pretty much called me a liar saying we had people in the past call to get free food like excuse me I’m at work by myself just trying to eat before I have to get back to work I wouldn’t waste my time calling you guys This is insane because I order from you guys all the time he said I didn’t give the driver a tip so nope you don’t get anything. He was really rude and I didn’t appreciate it at all! I told him we will no longer be ordering ever again here he said that’s fine with me have a good day. Okay so a friend and I tried this place out on a whim. When I tell you this was one of the BEST pizzas I’ve ever had in my life.

We were initially unsure of what to get, but the cashier let us know about the pizza size options and we each ended up getting a personal pizza where you can get three toppings on the pizza plus the sauce for a total of seven dollars. I got a three meat pizza that had a pepperoni, sausage, and bacon with the jalapeño ranch sauce, and it was so good. Everything was cooked to perfection!

I loved the crust. It was thick and fluffy. The cheese was so good and perfectly melted with the perfect amount of cheese pulls, the toppings were nice and crisp and it was the perfect amount of sauce on the pizza. When I tell you, this is probably the best pizza I’ve ever had in my whole life. 🍕
