I finally remembered to leave a review! I've been meaning to do it every time we eat here (mostly order take out), because everything we had from the menu is excellent. We usually go for a Hawaiian or Margherita pizza with a side of breaded mushrooms. Both are scrumptious and highly recommended! This time we wanted a 'real meal' 😊 so the order was Chicken Francese and Eggplant Parmesan (over spaghetti) with a side salad. I never care about the salad. I never talk about it. It's an afterthought for me, because it seems like an afterthought for the restaurant. But compared to the one from Pomod'oro place, the side salad here, at Downingtown Pizza is a chef's creation. Mine was with a golden Italian dressing, which I could eat by itself - it was that good. Salad itself was very fresh, large, and ingredients were interesting and added a lovely new flavors, like pickled (or roasted?) peppers. In comparison, the Pomod'oro side salad is a poor man's idea of a salad. The Chicken Francese was nicely breaded (not too thickly), juicy and flavorful. The white wine sauce and butter with lemon definitely added a nice zest to it. According to my wife, the eggplant was very nice as well - just as good as at Pomod'oro 😊 We will keep coming here for a very long time! Please excuse the pics - takeout never looks very appetizing.

Better than average pizza. The sauce is great but the cheese kind of kills the flavor. Haven't been here in years but last time it was way better. Still a good pie and the garlic knots were excellent. The staff was super friendly and inviting. Even the chef was very welcoming. If your in the area this is a must try spot

I tried their veggie lovers pizza and that was really very nice in test. Also I love their service because I like more crispy border of pizza and I request them to bake some more time and the guy who work there he just politely put my pizza again in the oven. Also I order garlic nodes and the make is fresh.

Overall, the worst food and service ive had in all of the chester county area. The cheesesteak was very dry and flakey with sub par quality of meat, cheese and bread. Very overpriced. I paid 60 dollars including the tip and only received half of the items i ordered (a cheesesteak and 20 wings). The first cheesesteak, ive had in this area of pennsylvania that i actually could not eat because it was just so dry and flavorless. The wings were mediocre, average quality which is okay. They entirely forgot to deliver three other items i ordered and paid for, and when i called them back they said they would just credit my account. So i am unable to review those items obviously. Overall, I firmly feel this was a one star establishment. I would suggest either jads pizza, spatolas pizza, or Anthony's which are all great restaurants in the same area, but dont waste your money...

Was reviewing for a sandwich group. First time visitor. Ordered plain pizza, calzone, old Italian hoagie. Old Italian from Downingtown Pizza. Disappointing. Like a bread sandwich so thin on meats and cheeses all you taste is bread. Hard yo swallow. No slices of provolone, they actually crumble up slices. Bone dry. And yes, they served their hoagie in a box, yes, in a box, Instead of wrapping it (who does that???!!@@). Official review. roll was garbage and dry. Meat / cheese to bread ratio way off. As a side note the sauce on top pizza had an odd fishy flavor and crust was dry?! not sure what would cause this. Lorenzo's is still the top hoagie in the area (i know they are basically impossible to beat, but i still search out proper hoagies). They got two stars because the staff was actually very nice and attentive and Calzone was good. Again. The staff...
