We ate at the Grill at Grande Vista twice during our stay. One time for breakfast and the second time for dinner. We put in for reservations both times as we were staying at the Grande Vista and it was easy to call from the room. Breakfast was good and fairly priced. we paid around 40 dollars for two people. we ordered an eggs benedict and an All-american breakfast (toast, sausage, eggs and breakfast poatatoes). The food was delicious and we had no problems with service during our meal. We did find that the breakfast menu was quite limited though. On the other hand, Dinner was much more expensive. coming in at just under 100 dollars for two people. The menu was a bit more varied though. Once again we found our meal delicious as we ordered meatloaf and lemon pepper chicken and a couple drinks and dessert. We agreed that the price for dinner was quite high. But we had no issues with service even after opting to eat outside for dinner. A special thanks to our servers as well for being attentive. Chloe served us for our breakfast meal and Tiffany Served us for dinner. both were very nice and welcoming and attentive. Giving the review 4 stars for the price of dinner for two.

During our stay at the Marriott Grand Vista, we tried their restaurant, The Gill. Upon inquiring about mocktails, the staff seemed unfamiliar and unable to assist, which was a surprising start. The food quality unfortunately. The brisket we ordered was notably dry and lacked flavor, falling short of the succulence typically expected in such a dish. Accompanying the brisket, the beans were overcooked, losing their desirable texture and taste. Further, the coleslaw served was unpalatable, failing to add the refreshing contrast that is usually expected from such a side dish. The brussels sprouts, which we had hoped would be a redeeming feature, were disappointing as well. They appeared to be microwaved, evidenced by their mushy texture and the complete absence of any crispness on the outer leaves that is characteristic of well-prepared brussels sprouts. Moreover, the promised bacon bits in the brussels sprouts were nowhere to be found, adding to the list of letdowns. Overall, the meal at The Grill was underwhelming and stands out as one of the least enjoyable dining experiences we have had, firmly placing itself in our list of top ten worst meals.

Came here for breakfast. Hostess explained one server for The whole room because of staffing issues-I was ok with waiting as we hear that often nowadays. However, I am not sure why it was taking so long when the bartender/server present only had 3 very Small tables. Whatever though. I ordered the lumberjack. It was ok for $14. I was a bit annoyed I could Not swap pancakes for French toast without purchasing a whole plate of French toast. The sausage was not a link but cheap looking patties that came from McDonald’s. They also charged me 1.50 extra for egg whites without telling me. However, they did inform me of the upgrade for Swapping potatoes for fruit.

Made reservations at 1pm for Mother’s Day: 5/11/2025.

First- the restaurant had no one in it. Walked inside and there was no hostess. Stood there for two minutes before the hostess walked up. Did not greet us. Just asked if we wanted inside or outside and if inside, by a window.

We noted that the inside was not only dark, but freezing. The seats in the back, also have cracked leather, like they are deteriorating.

We sit down and wait for TEN minutes before being assisted for drinks. We were just about to leave when the gentlemen (server?) from the BAR assisted us. Which was odd.

He gave us his name and went straight to asking us what we wanted for drinks. Didn’t explain where the buffet was or offer us anything else…

We went to the buffet and upon inspection of the food noticed the biscuits and eggs looked like they had been sitting out a while, same with the prime rib and the ham.

In addition, for a $70 a person buffet, there were HARDLY any options. There were NO waffles, pancakes, or many lunch options. Most brunch buffets at least have cheeses, more meat, and sides.

It was a small buffet and no one was there making sure the food was being rotated. We sat down and immediately noticed the eggs and biscuit were hard, the roast beef was lukewarm, the salmon was hardly flavored and lukewarm. Overall bland and dissatisfying.

The waiter stopped by and got our plates but didn’t ask if we needed anything or new beverages.

He then provided the check and THEN offered free mimosas. At that point we wanted to leave and just took them to go.

When walking out we noticed several (3) staff standing by the service area by the buffet, not doing anything (this did NOT include the bartender who served our table). The hostess was on her phone and stated goodbye as we were out the door.

Total cost: $263.91… they added gratuity and tax.

We spoke with the manager at the front desk who connected us with the restaurant manager and did not offer us a refund. Just an apology… Well an apology doesn’t cut it for this price.

We are not local to the area and traveled a long way to get here.

I am not sure if staff think the guests who come here are made of money, but we saved and have waited a long time for a vacation.

For a fine dining restaurant this is unacceptable....

I was beyond shocked that this place has an avg of 4 stars. To begin, our service was great. Server was beyond friendly, & the food is not a reflection of her efforts. She was amazing, I apologize for not remembering her name. She is the only reason this review is 2 stars instead of 1.

Ordered the 12 oz ribeye. $37 steak - I expected the steak to reflect this price. Unfortunately, it tasted like something I could have made at home (and I am a very low level cook). Logan’s Roadhouse has better steak. I ordered it medium, & it came out medium. However, there was absolutely no flavor. Poor cut of meat, not seasoned at all. Definitely nothing added to enhance any flavor. Literally the most underwhelming steak I have ever experienced.

My mom ordered the NY strip & said the same thing. For $37, you should receive a high quality steak. We did not get this tonight. They sprinkled some greens on top of the steak for presentation… those greens were more flavorful than the steak itself.

When you order a $37 steak, you should not have to add salt yourself to salvage a decent meal!! And it still wasn’t decent…

We did order the potatoes for a side - those were great. Definitely recommend ordering these for your side if you end up dining here.

I understand that it isn’t supposed to be the finest establishment, but when you are charging $30+ for a piece of meat, it better be damn good. Since other reviews are good, maybe this was an off night. But I will not be recommending this place to anyone & will not be back. The quality of food did not...

Paid 55$ pp for a fixed christmas menu. had reservation at 8.30pm (suggested by themselves) - no hosted at the entrance and we had to wait a while, after I waived to a waiter he just told me to wait. at seating they informed us there was no swordfish (the only fish on this menu) Chef did offer to make salmin instead after we complained. This was nice. the salad dressi g and soup were very good. the glaze on the was very very salty No bottled water without gas. After dinner they informed us there was NO red velvet cake and offer lemon pie instead. waiters were very attentive and good but the cleaner was giving us an eye of inpatient and was like pushing us to leave. -Felt at the end of our dinner that they (everyone)were rushing us to leave. All in all far way expensive for the food we got, especially taking into consideration that we didn't get what we paid for because they were out of them and the way we felt we were rushed to dine and leave. If you could not comply you shouldn't take as many guests neither should you offer the seating hour after 8. ps. as foreigners we are acostum to give what we think should be given as a gratitude. You have to work for it and deserve it, it should never ever be obliged as here...
