If you’re ever in Orlando for a couple of days, consider staying at the TRYP by Wyndham hotel. It was clean and customer service was great. Spacious rooms, as well! #orlandoflorida #orlando #tryphotel #orlandofl #hotels #hotelreview #travel #traveltiktok

Booked this room this past weekend since I was in the area for a festival and was going to go to Sea World the following day. I stayed in a Tryp by Wyndham in Ft Lauderdale last year and loved the ambiance. While the hotel itself was great, there are three glaring issues. Even though I booked my room with my points, I was STILL forced to put a card on file. The La Quinta I stayed in a little over a week prior, didn't require a card when I used my points. If you're owned by the same parent company, all hotels should have the same rules... The second issue was the fact they had a "bar" but only served beer and wine. Most the hotels in the surrounding area have bars. I go often enough to Orlando, and have worked and lived there, to know this. So a big let down. Luckily for us, sea world is around the corner and we could drink there. The third issue was they didn't have free breakfast. Generally, most Wyndham hotels offer this, save for resorts like Wyndham on International Dr and Club Wyndham Ocean Walk in Daytona. Also a bit of a disappointment. But I went to Starbucks and Sea World to eat instead. The bed was nice. My daughter loved her bunk bed. We were able to check in at 2. The shower was nice and spacious. The toilet was a bit loud though. Microwave and fridge. Keurig machine. We had a pool view also. La Quinta was right next door. I wish they offered shuttle service to Sea World since it's RIGHT THERE, but they only offer it to Universal. Luckily I'm a Platinum pass holder so I get free parking. Decent place. Decent staff. I may stay again in the future.

This hotel is amazing. Our flight landed a bit early and we decided to try and get early check in. I was greeted by Carlos upon entry and he was so pleasant, he had me checked in early in less than 5 minutes at no extra cost. The refundalbe damage deposit is $100. There is no resort fee and parking is free. The wifi is also free, easy to connect and the connection was strong even in the room. The entire property is clean, the elevators big and fast. The room was spacious for our family of 4 to not feel cramped. The bathroom is also very spacious and had a lot of shelf space for everyone. The mini fridge and microwave were clean and worked well. I can see if the hotel is full and you stay out late at night that there may be an issue to find a park, however there are plenty of curbs to park alongside and the staff are helpful and will direct you were to park if all the spots are full. It wasn't a huge issue but something to note. The location is perfect, on the Southern tip of International Drive, 15 minutes or less from Universal, Disney Springs, Mall at Millenia and 2 minutes from Vineland Premium Outlets. They offer breakfast, we didn't have it but the area looked clean and there were options for a basic breakfast. The pool looked inviting and clean, we didn't go in but it was nice to hang out around it, will be trying it out next time I stay. I love this place, highly recommend it and will stay here next time I am in Orlando.

So there were some good & bad things from my experience staying at this hotel. I stayed for 4 nights total for my daughters bday. Pros: pretty clean rooms, great location and near many things to do, friendly staff, fun atmosphere with music etc, late checkout, had an issue with the sage not opening and they sent maintenance over right away. Cons: the rooms have a recycle bin and the housekeeper threw it in with regale trash on her cleaning Kart and another day I brought trash and recycle to her and she tried to get me to throw in with regular trash she didn’t speak English so they had two other workers near and none of them really spoke English -one communicated a little to me and basically agreed they don’t actually recycle however I have no clue if she truly understand what I said. I pointed to the recycle symbol on the blue recycle can which is different from the trash cans and they still said throw with trash and they threw with trash, I called front desk to discuss it and say if they don’t recycle they shouldn’t have those and she said she knew they did before and they are supposed to and will tell someone but didn’t offer for me to speak with manager or lmk or anything real to be found out about it. There was only one bag for trash etc on the cleaning kart for regular trash and nothing on the welcome paper thing says recycle comes certain days etc so it seems to be their full of it and show it to look good, I personally don’t like that. We have dietary restrictions due to allergies so I asked the front desk woman if they had a menu or I can know what food they have and she said no menu. She didn’t offer to try to ask a manager and Lmk if she can Lmk what food items they have etc so we never ate breakfast there because there was no help offered to even know if they offer anything we can have. The breakfast also costs money by the way they don’t include anything at all for breakfast for hotel guests complimentary or anything. So while the staff were nice when I had questions no one cared about actually figuring anything out nor letting me know. The one front desk person seemed new and unable to answer a few other basic questions I had which is fine, however she didn’t offer to ask anyone so I could find out that information and that was not good customer service in my opinion. Another thing is we must have gotten an allergy response to the room because my daughter got sinus symptoms halfway in our stay with no fever or anything accompanying and when we left the room she felt fine and we’d come back and same thing and I woke up with my eye swollen. I am thinking it’s maybe to the chemical detergent used on the sheets and while I admit we both have indoor and outdoor allergens I have stayed at other hotels plenty and so has my daughter and we’ve never been bothered to the point we had these symptoms ever, usually just a tad itchy skin nothing severe at all like this. I’ve never woken up with a swollen eye etc. the other days I brought the trash etc to the housekeepers so they didn’t come in to clean or use chemicals so the sheets and whatever they use to clean it is the only thing I can think of and it’s just odd to me, because while the room was clean I’ve never had this response anywhere else . The pool is somewhat small and is heated even in Summer which was annoying because it’s very hot in the summer so would rather it cool but it was clean enough. Despite location and friendliness too many cons to want to return because things happen and not everyone has answers to every question, But I would rather stay somewhere where the front desk cares about trying to find answers and help the guests rather than just have a “idk whatever” kind of mentality. I also think for the price breakfast should be included and like I said idk what they use in the rooms when we first arrived it was a strong smell like chemical cleaner which great it’s clean but it was strong, the windows don’t open so can’t air it out but idk it’s odd I’ve never had this issue prior to any hotel stay ever. We’re home now and our...

I will start with the positive. Hotel lobby is very nice and clean. Our room was very spacious, perfect for a family of 6. We had 2 queen size beds and a bunk bed. Bathroom was big with standing shower and 2 sinks. Our room was cleaned daily (some days they did a better job then others, more about that later) and it included breakfast which was OK. They have a nice eating area however I think they have hard time finding staff and were giving out bagged breakfast. Parking was free as well and we did not have a problem finding a spot. The reason for 3 stars is because some of the staff were rude and definitely need more training in resolving issues. I would recommend better management since some staff did not look like they want to be there and were bothered every time you ask them a question since they were interrupted from being on cell phones. We had a stay for 13 nights. On day 6 (Friday evening) my 8 year old slipped and fell in the bathroom while taking his shower. He hit his chin on the side of the shower. I addressed him right away and then went to the front desk to notify the employee. Employee was very nice and right away offered to see if we need to go to the hospital or if we need first aid kits. He also filled out an accident report. I did informed him that the floor inside of the shower was very slippery and if we can have someone tomorrow to take a look and see if anything needs to be placed to prevent others from falling. He told me that there is no management on the weekends and that someone will take a look at out shower tomorrow. We stays additional 7 days after the accident and I have asked to speak to the management but every time was told that no one is around. I also have asked for a copy of accident report since I have to take my son to the dentist since he states that his front teeth hurt when he eats his food. He definitely has some damage on his gums since they are still black and blue. I was told it would be emailed to me but I have yet to receive one. I have told employee, Tiffany that no one checked my shower and it’s slippery. She responded that I need to place a towel on the floor, I explained that the part that is slippery is inside of the shower and by placing towel my kids will be at higher risk of falling. She rolled her eyes and did not say anything else. On our last day my daughter went to the front desk at 9:16 to get our breakfast but was told that breakfast ended at 9 which we did not realize since they have a big sign on the wall stated breakfast hours are from 6-10. Employee (Tiffany) who spoke to my daughter was very rude. She spoke with an attitude. I witnessed that when I went there to ask about check out and again asked for a copy of the incident report. For someone who works at the front desk she definitely needs a lot more training. In regards to housekeeping- some days they did a great job, however on other days we would come in and have no toilet paper, tissue box empty, crumbs on the floor and bunk bed not made. I guess it all depends who they have working on which day. One of the evenings I also noticed that toilet water was going very slowly. I informed the front desk that our toilet was clogged. He said no problem and left a plunger in front of our door. I have not experienced this before and was not sure if it was my responsibility to fix the toilet. Overall I give a 3 stars since since hotel has a good potential of being great but they need better management and staff need...

Disappointing – especially after such a great first experience

We stayed at this hotel last year and were very satisfied. Upon request, we received a room on the top floor, the room was clean and well-maintained, and during our 5-day stay, housekeeping cleaned it daily and replaced towels when needed.

This year, we returned to Orlando and decided to stay at the same hotel again, hoping for a similarly pleasant experience. We booked the room months in advance through Booking, clearly stating our request: “Room on the highest floor, if possible”

Upon arrival, however, the first disappointment: we were given a room on the 2nd floor instead of the 4th. The excuse was that no rooms were available on the top floor – even though we booked months in advance!

When we entered the room, we immediately noticed an unpleasant smell – musty and moldy. The air was stale and uncomfortable. In the bathroom, there were even visible signs of mold, especially around the shower area.

On top of that: coffee stains on the nightstand, black hair in the bed and on the towels. The next day, we left for several hours expecting the room to be cleaned – but nothing had been done. Only after speaking with the manager the following morning did housekeeping start cleaning the room daily, although not thoroughly – but at least it was done.

As a Front Office Manager at a renowned hotel in Austria, I am very familiar with the standards and expectations within the hospitality industry. That is precisely why I was especially disappointed to experience such a lack of basic service and quality during my stay at your property. From a hotel of your category, I expect a certain level of professionalism—something that, unfortunately, was not met.

Breakfast was also a disappointment this time. Not only has the quality noticeably declined compared to last year – both in variety and taste – but the price has also increased. It now costs €12 per person, and after barely 10 minutes of sitting down, the bill is already placed on your table, which creates an unwelcoming and rushed atmosphere.

Unfortunately, this stay did not live up to the standard of our previous visit. It’s a shame, as the hotel has potential – but service, cleanliness, and breakfast definitely need serious improvement.

We are planning another trip to Orlando next year – and we will definitely...
