Terrible service. Wanted Orange Chicken—-not available under previous owners . Had it before with same owners. Sat down at table about 1pm. I was only customer. I was asked if I wanted to eat there or wanted takeout. I said I wanted to eat there. Ordered Orange Chicken. I was told they had been out of it since Sunday (4 days). I then ordered Yellow Curry and was brought a bill. Then I was again asked if I wanted to have takeout or eat there. I again told them I wanted to eat there. They told me I could have Orange Chicken if I ordered takeout. (Wonder how Orange Chicken had arrived). Then I was told I could either order Orange Chicken takeout, or leave with nothing. ‘I was being thrown out—-so took the Orange Chicken to go—wanted it one last time. This tastes like the flavors I remember and loved from Thailand! Thanks to the Thai staff for bringing those authentic flavors to the city of Duarte. This is truly a local gem, the food tastes delicious and is reasonably priced. The atmosphere is also charming and especially nice for a date. The hostess tonight contributed to the positive environment with her genuine smile and excellent service. This experience truly exceeded my dining expectations and made me happy! Tonight, we ordered a pad thai and 1/2 chicken with sticky rice plate. The portion was perfect for two people and I’m thankful the server recommended getting sticky rice with our chicken it was an excellent combination, I would have ordered a different rice. I’m excited to try their khao soi next time. That was the best dish I had in Chiang Mai, Thailand and it has been hard to find a proper version of it in LA. Highly recommended restaurant with a 10/10 Tom Kha Gai I was here two times with friends, tasted 4 different dishes and all were very tasty - way above average. Tom Kha Gai soup is a must. The mushrooms actually taste very much like mushrooms, everything seems fresh, and the ingredients of very good quality. Fried rice is not oily but comes with the right roasting aroma. Green curry with on point roasted tasty eggplant. Service time was very quick, but we were almost alone. The service personal was both times very friendly, checking in multiple times, very friendly and courteous. The ambience is very pleasant and also with a good sense for quality and detail.
