Food is really good at Tacos Ensenada. The lines are long, which is expected since they have good food. Unfortunately, the wait for the food to be done and given to you either by eating in or ordering out is so very long. I ordered to carne asada burritos to go and it took almost the whole 30 minutes of my lunch break to get it. Most of my time waiting was not the line to order but the time waiting for my order. Approximated breakdown of line to order and waiting for the to go order goes as follows: Wait in line to order approx. 5 - 10 mins. While wait time for the order to go was approx. 15 - 20 minutes. There where also many times that the orders being given out were out of turn, example being that my order number last to digit was 50. Orders that were after my number like 55 and 53 were called before mine. Then orders like 48 and 46 are called. I would think that preparing the orders as they come in, in the correct order of numbers would be more productive, then preparing orders out of sequence with exception of course. Like if the order was really simple and easy to make which can be made in conjunction to the previous order and it get done before then that would be acceptable. But I don't believe that was the case when I order and waited for just 2 carne asada burritos to go. I would actually think that my order would be the exception I mentioned earlier since I did not order as much as others that ordered after me that had more orders then I did. I believe with how much they have grown as a restaurant from a small one door/address and no access to a restroom to a three door/address with bathrooms, that they would have a better system in preparing their orders in a timely and ordered manner. For example, King Taco, they have an ordered way that the fill there orders even when they are extremely busy. They need to learn this way of doing their business. I still like the food even though it took most of my 30 minutes lunch time. Although, I did not see the spicy carrot thing that I loved so...

Food here is generally pretty good. Service and cleanliness can definitely improve. Tables were sticky and condiment tray was a mess. Also ordered my burrito without rice (see receipt) and of course, they missed that. 3 stars for service and cleanliness.
Tried the fish tacos, a shrimp taco, a shrimp dorado taco, a spicy shrimp taco, Mar y Tierra burrito and a campechana cocktail. Too much food for two people, but wanted to try a few different dishes.
Tacos were all pretty good. 4/5 stars. Burrito was also good, but I didn’t get much asada. Really just full of rice. I don’t hate rice, but it’s a filler that doesn’t belong in a burrito in my opinion. I didn’t finish it in this sitting, so maybe will find it later :) last but not least was the cocktail. Really good flavor and nice mix of seafood.

Good, but can be so much better. Food is decent, but service and organization can be better. First we tried calling in our order to go to make things easier for all, but was put on hold and then forgotten about. We were already on our way, so waited on the phone for about 7 mins while we drove there then decided to hang up when we arrived to order inside. They have good spacing for people in line to order at the cashier, but you have to walk past everyone in line to get out after you order. Kind of defeats the purpose. You also have to make sure to ask for salsa, limes, chiles or anything else. I was fortunate to ask for salsa and roasted chiles, but forgot the limes :( I think I saw jalapeños and carrots as well, but will take note for the next time. Food wise, we ordered a shrimp taco combo and two fish tacos. Hit the spot but not sure it was good enough to warrant a trip back anytime soon. May try La Bufadora or Taco Nazo and see how they are doing these days and...
Read moreI came here for a late lunch on the weekday and it looked pretty steady at the restaurant. From the amount of people there, you can tell there are a lot of regulars that do come here. Having tried the asada tacos, the asada burrito and the asada fries nothing blew me away. The tacos were hefty and having seen the other patrons tacos in the restaurant, I could see they hooked it up on the meat. The burrito was evenly portioned with beans, rice and salsa; just enough from the salsa for flavor. As for the asada fries flavor wise it's okay; it has plenty of everything just like the burrito but the fries itself were stale, as if it were sitting under the heat lamp waiting. What stood out to me is the chargrill flavor from the asada, you can taste that char taste but also the meat was pretty salty on its own as well. I should've tried other menu items but i know the asada seems to be the safe bet anywhere. Customer service isn't good at all, no generic greeting or a thank you after you order or pick up your food. So the claim that some reviews have been made about poor customer service is true. The restroom is pretty dirty, wods paper towels hanging out in the urinal and the toilet in the men's room. The door to the men's room left open with a heavy part of a table leg and the hand dryer was not even working at all. No paper towel in sight either, so I don't know where it all came from. Overall, for my visit today it was okay. The food was okay, the other items on the menu are probably better. I think the food has to be good if people were coming in the store constantly like I had seen today. I just don't see a reason for myself to...
