Dam Good Cafe — Restaurant in Dublin

When my girlfriend and I entered the establishment, we werent seated for about 2 to 3 minutes despite there being open tables available. We were seated in a short hallway, in front of what appeared to be an emergency exit, where the booth was blocking half of the door, which cannot be safe or up to code. Once we were seated, the lights in the hallway flickered and went out. Our server came over to us and then asked whether we would want breakfast or lunch. We both said breakfast and were promptly given one sheet of paper and the other was withheld. I've never heard of a diner or cafe that limits their customers to one menu of food. The menu was kind of small and the items looked bland. It took a short while for us to actually receive our drinks and food. My girlfriend ordered french toast, bacon, and a side of home fries, all of which were lukewarm or cold. The bacon she ordered was hard as a rock and broke very easily. I had a stack of 3 pancakes and breakfast sausage. My pancakes were dry as a desert, but the sausage was good, so 1/5 ain't bad, right? I also forgot to mention the maple syrup was old and thick. The food was cheap, as it came out to around 30 bucks, but that was the only positive in my experience. This cafe was nowhere near "Dam Good". Try your best...

Well their food is very good and the service is good as well but when it comes down to getting what you ask for it seems to be an issue. I was in for take out and got a plain cheeseburger and fries. It came out fairly quick and before I left I put salt and pepper on my food only to see that there was lettuce and tomatoes on my burger. I told the waitress face to face plain cheeseburger. I know they could see me picking the toppings off but how is it that hard to get what you asked for? This isn't the first time either. My roommate just got breakfast and brought it home only to see his order was messed up. He's a regular and gets the same thing often. If it wasn't for their good food we just would go elsewhere. Either the waitresses ignore what we say or the cook doesn't read the order properly. My only complaint is that your order seems to always get messed up. I'd say at least 4 out of 5 times for both my friend and I we've had messed up orders other than that the food is great and...

To be brief, this place has a quality lunch menu and a very standard breakfast with some flair. I typically come in with my dogs and eat by the car prior to our hike at the local lake. My breakfast of choice is the burrito. A good sized stuffed flour shell with eggs sausage and pico. It hits the spot. They also have specialty pancakes\french toast usually seasonal. Breakfast is tough to mess up but these guys are on point and waaaay better than the diner nearby. The lunch menu is excellent. Bonus is they have a salad bar if you need a little fiber. My favorites are fish tacos and the turkey reuben. The waffle fries are nicely spiced and complete most lunch dishes well. The service here cant be beat. All of our servers are very personable and do not make mistakes. They also remember our preferences which is a big deal to me.
