This place is horrible. The man at the front door greeted me with an unfriendly glare, and started with that nasty, "Can I help you?" I started to speak and he just started barking documents that he wanted, so I sat my unopened water bottle down on the counter to get him what he wanted and he barked, "No beverages on our counter!" Now mind you he was on the other side of the plexiglass which you think would have given him ample protection from my very scary plastic water bottle. I tried to ask about getting a real ID, which is what I had brought my documents for, while I was there to renew my license which was about to expire. Although he was checking my documents for real ID he kept saying that they are not a real ID center. I said'"Oh, you don't do that anymore?" He said,"Never did." I explained that I had been there a few years ago and that the employee told me they did do Real IDs but stopped for COVID. Then he says, "Well we help you apply for it by checking documents but they come in the mail." So, seemingly yes, you do help...or not help I should say, people get Real IDs. So he continued to look at my documents which I gathered according to the checklist online. He then stops and tells me that I can't get the Real ID because my birth certificate doesn't specify my middle name but my social security card does, and then when I indicated that that was ridiculous, he kept telling me,"You don't have a middle name!" I had about 15 other forms of ID with me but he didn't care and shuffled me off to just go to where you wait to get your regular license done. While I was waiting, I remembered the checklist online clearly indicated that a W2, which I had brought with me, could be used for that category of document as opposed to the social security card. About that time, the original rude man was leaving so I went over to his replacement who looked at me and said, "What is it!" I explained the situation and said I have a W2..and he kept saying, "No no!" and just kept repeating, "You have to have all your documents!" I pointed out to him that I did, and the online checklist said a W2 would be acceptable, but he wouldn't look at it and just kept saying, "You have to have all your documents," and threw a printed copy of the same checklist at me, saying that getting a Real ID is not required. To this I said,"The checklist you are literally giving me says so right here." With this he sluffed me away, still saying, "You have to have all your documents." So, I left there with no Real ID and my regular license only.. One would think for a job requiring such a large amount of interaction with people, they would hire oh maybe some people with people skills. Good Lord, they...
Read moreThe 60 year old black dude who you take your test with is a straight a Hole and you fail 9/10 because he is miserable. The test started of fine, he took me to the back of the building to begin parallel parking, then it’s like a flip switched in him, he became incredibly rude and ambiguous. He parked me next to the diagonal parking spots in the back about thirty feet from the parallel parking cones and kept repeating the rules of the parking test while just throwing his hands towards the window and saying we’re going to be practicing here, i asked him about 3 times where he wanted me to parallel park and he just kept repeating the rules and throwing his hands at the window before he finally used his words and his finger to point wheee it was because it’s just a set of cones that you can barely see. Finished that perfectly with only 2 adjustments, he then took me onto the road, I was fine, he kept saying nice job, he then took me into a neighborhood where there were 2 different tractor trailers parked along the side walk unloading things, it was a 25 mph zone and i was going 15. He rudely asked me what am i doing to which i responded i am waiting on your direction i have no idea where im going, he said don’t worry just drive the speed limit. He then proceeds to not tell me to turn until we’re 10 feet from these turns that have no stop signs so i’m slamming on my breaks, he then takes me out of the neighborhood, and while turning out there is a cross walk, i am about 2 feet behind the cross walk and about 4 inches in front of the white line, i turn out like normal everything is fine, i then reach the turn to come into the shopping center where the dmv is and i waved someone to turn in front of me, and he seemed like i just had killed some body. We get back into the parking lot and same thing, he keeps telling me to park “there” and he’s just throwing his hands up towards the windows, I park in a spot i think he is talking about and he all he has to say is i’m gonna fail you because you’re not confident enough I don’t know exactly what that means when the teacher is not telling you where or when you’re turning, yes i’m not confident having someone last second tell me where i’m going, it’s impossible to drive like that and very dangerous. Would not recommend taking here, although the bensalem dmv is way more crowded its is entirely more fair and easy to take...
Read moreIf I could provide no stars I would. I am moving from Florida to PA and transferring my drivers license. I was called into counter 7 on December 4th 2024 at 10:15am and saw a man named Chris. Immediately started off blunt and rude upon entry. I told him what I was there for and he asked for our documents like normal. When I showed him my lease agreement with my address he proceeded with attitude that this isn’t my correct address. I told him yes this is the correct address that shows on the lease and he became angry. He then tried to explain to us that it needed a full address and stated “that’s how it works here in PA”. Which is how I thought addresses worked in America. As I tried to explain to him that this was the correct address being that I live there and should know, he began yelling at my mother and I. He was aggressively pointing towards the document insinuating we don’t know where we live. Told my mother that he was not talking to her and rudely said if it’s not your license I am not talking to you. He became flustered and red in the face and took my documents and threw us out of his office saying to see someone else. He seemed he was on a power trip, miserable, and angry. Hopefully no one receives his unprofessionalism. We left and asked for a manager who didn’t seem to care himself. We explained the situation with Chris and asked for his full name and the manager stated his first name was sufficient with attitude. Clearly not a leader and didn’t care to find out what happened between us and his employee. We then saw someone else who took care of the license transfer. It’s a rude and unwelcoming place. What a terrible welcoming to the state. I would avoid this location as they can’t seem to professionally handle the 20 people in...
