This is the best coffee in Stafford hands down. There aren’t a lot of options here and if you want a latte made by someone that actually knows how to steam milk, this is the closest you’ll find. If I were rating this place based on my first experience it would be 5 stars. The food is great too and the prices are very reasonable. However, I regularly come and the service is regularly terrible. On one day I waited 45min for my coffee and when I asked about it, there was no “sorry we forgot to make it!” or coupon or friendliness or anything… and they brought me a smaller size than I paid for. If that’s just one time then whatever, but frequently they take 20+min to make stuff and will be doing other tasks like re-stocking first until they remember to do the order. My biggest complaint is one lady in particular. I don’t know her name because she’s scary to make conversation with, but she is blonde and always there in the morning/afternoon (maybe a manager) and she is never friendly. My friends and I have all had the same experience. She glares at me while I order and then when I ask about getting the discount (which all other employees offer no problem) she questions me about it which is so uncomfortable and then if I come back 30min later to order something else she won’t re-apply it. I get if she doesn’t want military spouses to get the military discount, but most organizations offer the discount to both or specify beforehand that it’s specifically for active duty and it’s no problem. But there’s inconsistencies because she’s the only one who’s rude about it. And I am also a first responder myself so I started specifying “can I get the first responder discount” instead of military, yet she glares and questions my job every time. Ma’am, I wouldn’t ask for it if it wasn’t my job. I’ve never had another business get so up in their britches over 10%. It’s just awkward and rude. It’s not like I feel entitled to getting it, I can handle paying 10 more cents, it’s just the attitude she has about it to me and all my friends that is so uncomfortable. We only knew to ask in the first place because other employees ask “are you military/first responder?” so it’s fair that we’ve brought it up again if not directly asked….. We were looking for a coffee shop on Sunday afternoon 7/30/23 We we’re excited that we found this spot with great reviews and we could make it there before closing. We got there at 3:53 and the interior doors were locked. I thought, hmmm that’s weird. Google says they’re open until 4pm. I tried the other door and it was unlocked but the man was mopping the floors and said “I’m sorry ma’am we’re closed.” I responded, “I thought you’re open until 4” he responded, “we’re just closing a bit early. Everything’s shut down already.” I asked if he was the manager and he said he wasn’t. So I just wanted to let the management know, that this is extremely disappointing for customers. After working in food service for several years, it was always expected that when we are open, we are ready to SERVE our guests. It was also expected that we’d stay an hour after closing time to clean up, and do the closing shift duties. I understand there are down times before closing when you can get some things done ahead of time. But to just turn all the machines off for the day and make the decision to close early (because the chance of getting customers in those last 10 minutes is slim) only so that you can leave earlier, is entirely unacceptable. Read moreI have been here many times but after today I don’t know that I will return. There were 3 customers in there before we ordered. Our orders included food, 3 lattes & a coffee board. The food came out shortly after we ordered but the coffee did not. More people came in, ordered, got their items and left & we still had no coffee. I went to ask the young lady making the coffee if she had started on my coffee board yet. She said no & was about to. I asked her not to since we needed to leave & that I just wanted my money back. She said they can’t give refunds but I can order 2 lattes that will only take a couple minutes. I let her know I was still waiting on 3 lattes & didn’t need 2 more so I asked for store credit. I was going to order myself a coffee using the credit & she told me it would be a wait even though we had already been waiting 40 minutes. I purchased other items around the register to spend the money since I don’t plan on returning any time soon.
Out of the 3 lattes that did finally come out only 1 was even drinkable. The other 2 were absolutely disgusting.
Things were much better when the manager worked in there on a regular basis.
