1 hour wait time and there's 4 tables open. After an hour waiting, And watching other people fill the tables I talked to the manager and they said they called my phone but I never had any missed call's My wife called my phone twice in front of them. Just to make sure my phone was working and I had service.. And twice before while we were waiting To be seated Very disappointed this time around So we went to public And got subs instead The food varies from time to time It was an hour late from when we Put in our order there was 3or4 green flies on my food When they brought it to us the last couple of times The shrimp was overcooked and seemed like the oil That it was cooked in was burned the last time there was a long orange hair in my rice and bean bowl And there is a lot of flies next to the picnic tables due to the fact that they pour all the drinks on the ground when they clean up the tables it splashed on my son's feet and back when they clean the table off next to us The food seems a little bit better on the weekdays More properly cooked and prepared. And served in a timely fashion. That is my review just on the food And service...
The atmosphere in very as well on the weekdays. It's really chill and not too crowded but on the weekends. There is a lot of people that come in and don't even order food but they take up space at the picnic tables from time to time and management does nothing about it. They also sit on the beach and just go swimming and crowd The people that are actually Coming there to sit down and eat And swim And sit on the wall with their feet in the water. It seems like you can't even do that on the weekends. Not to be racist or anything, but majority of the people that do this is Hispanic or puertorican descent. This is my honest and truthful opinion. And if you are a regular there like we are, you can see it first-hand. This problem could easily be eliminated if they put a fence up instead of the rope Barrier that they use as a fence because the people that do this always just go on the side or underneath the rope to sit on the beach without supporting the business at all.... Overall, it's A. Pretty decent place if these problems were addressed with a...
Read moreI’m not the type of person to ever leave such a bad review anywhere, and I feel like it’s not fair to the place itself or their food because I didn’t get a chance to try it. Me and my family are ok vacation and we came here because of how great reviews it had. We when arrived it had started raining so the hostess (which is mostly why I’m leaving such a bad review) was a red headed girl wearing a black shirt and jeans and said we had a 1 hour wait, due to having to move some people inside because it was raining. After we agreed to wait me and my family sat down and my boyfriend put down his name and phone number. Time went by and more people kept coming in. My dad then got up and asked the hostess again how my longer, and she said just two more people before us. Time went by again and more than a couple of people had gone by. My boyfriend then went and asked her why we’re waiting so long when she just said a couple more people were before us and she said she had called us out but we didn’t hear her and phone was out of service. The same hostess that had walked by us hundreds of times that could’ve stopped by and let us know in case we “didn’t hear her”, and called my boyfriend’s phone and was out of service when I was literally on his phone on TikTok the whole time. After all of this she said she will give us a table outside (while it’s still raining but not as hard). At this point we wanted to leave but we were so hungry that we walked outside. Once outside she says “oh I’m sorry I thought this table was actually ready but it’s not, do you want me to go get something to dry it for you?” Are you serious right now? You skipped us like 3 times, then finally get a table that’s actually not even available? I’m sorry but that it’s very poor customer service on her behalf. Upset isn’t even close to how I’m feeling right now. Incredible disappointment with the professionalism and customer service received. I understand this might be a once in a while thing, but regardless I feel this should be addressed. Thank you if you actually made...
Read moreI won't be returning to this place. I won't patronize anyplace that puts their share of credit card usage off on their customers. As a customer, I pay interest to use my card. As a business owner, I pay a percentage of each sale to accept cards. Putting my business share off on my customers would simply be cheap and cheesy. Further, looking at the receipt, numbers don't add up. We asked the waitress about the service fee and her explanation was that it was the credit card machine doing it. We also asked her and two other employees what the tax rate is in the area and none of them knew. We later found out it was 6.0 percent, which means our tax fee isn't correct on our receipt, since that comes out to 7.26%. I can't say what the service fee is based on - pre tax or after tax. Pre tax would be a 3.2% service fee and after tax would be a 3.0% service fee. If the owners are doing nothing more than trying to put their share of credit card usage off on customers, 3.0% or more is much more than they should be paying to accept credit cards, unless their credit is very bad, of course. The food wasn't terrible. We purchased two fish sandwiches; one fried Basa for $9.99 and one Mahi for $11.99. My wife was finished eating while I still had half my sandwich left. She said hers was very small. Finally, I mentioned all this to a friend who informed me she went there with her husband and her daughter, along with a couple of friends. She said they mostly had drinks and that they were all shocked at how much their bill was. It would appear that the owners are foolishly playing off two things; that because the restaurant sits on a river, human beings will pay anything to sit next to that river. They couldn't be more wrong. Anyway, folks, this place just is not...
