Devil's Krafthouse — Restaurant in Durham

This bar is the gem of Durham! The staff is absolutely magnificent! Melvin, Javonne, and James are very welcoming and kind. When my daughter was a freshman last year, Melvin gave us the most genuine and caring reception. He told us about all the places to see in Durham, best restaurants, parks, hotels, etc. We introduced Melvin to our daughter, and every time she passed through, Melvin remembered her, and said to say hi to her parents. Every time we go to campus ( move in day, move out day, family weekend), we visit this amazing hot spot, and Melvin! The beers on draft are wonderful. They have a mango goldenrod brand that is exquisite. The bar has shaved ice on it, to keep your drinks cold. The lighting is nice and dim, and colored blue in some areas. You also have to walk down from the main Wu food court to enter, giving it a cozy vibe. There is a stage for karaoke too. The corn quesadillas are so fresh, and the corn taste is delightful. The fish wrap with plantains is marvelous and different. We recently took my mother to the university, and our first stop was this amazing bar, to meet Melvin. We had a stellar experience! Stopped in for a drink during the World Cup match. Waited 20 minutes for both bartenders (younger guy longish brown hair and facial hair and older guy, baldish with Bull Durham Brewery hat) to turn around from watching the match, they served beers to about 4 people and turned back around.
