Franz's Food — Restaurant in Durham

I've only been here once in the fall of 2020. When I ordered a salad and it took them forever to make it. When I finally received my over priced salad it was literally just a couple pieces of lettuce with a few pieces of raw broccoli and carrot. Honestly I don't even know if it would be appropriate to call it a salad even more like left over scraps? If I remember correctly I also ordered bacon and did not receive any bacon. I've lived in Durham my whole life and Franzs has always got it right. Perfect hangover food and that's why it's usually very busy weekend mornings. Even when it's busy they get it done fast. Lately I've been getting the newly added breakfast sandwich The Alosa. If you are reading this Franz, PLEASE DO NOT TAKE IT OF THE MENU. Best Italian sub I’ve ever had. The bread was incredible, the meat isn’t just your average Italian cooked salami and ham, it’s got prosciutto, mortadella and everything else a great Italian requires. I’ve gotten one loaded like on the menu, and I got one practically bare, just to see how good it all around was. I can say hands down this is the best.
