This is the most insufficient McDonalds ever. Each time I go there is a long drive thru line, which is common at peak times, but today as I was headed to work I saw only ONE car was in line so I stopped for a large drink and a parfait. Now the drinks make themselves in DT and they parfait are prepared earlier in the mornings so you would think it shouldn't be no more than 2-3 mins, right? No, instead I pay and get to the 2nd window only to wait 7 additional minutes until finally I waved an employee down to ask what is going on and then here comes the guy who took my money at the first window correcting the other employee on which drink is mine and which is the car behind me. I worked and managed a McDonalds back in NY for 7yrs and don't understand where the slowness at this particular store. I need to speak directly with the store manager because it's a sad case for customer service and getting the food out in a timely manner.
Update as of 10/15/17: absolute worst and slowest McDonald's ever. Waited for over 12mins in DT just to get to work and my orange juice is watery. Returned after work and 5 crew members plus the manager were outside smoking. The manager saw my OJ in my hand and asked what was wrong and informed me that the machine is now off but I can get another drink which was fine but my boyfriend wanted to order food, ugh I wish he didn't. Waited in line behind 1 person for 3mins then the person on the register wrong the pies up individually when they are 2 for $1 and since I worked at McDonald's I informed him which button he should use to ring correctly and he said how its his first day up front. The store was dirty and all the manager was saying was how she's ready to go. Mind you, for the 2 pies and ice cream cone my boyfriend ordered we waited 6mins for before there were no more pies up front so the employee had to go to the back to box some that came out the oven awhile ago since they were cold. There were no lids in the lobby for my cup and when I asked for one the manager told another employee working in DT to hand me a lid but he acted as if he didn't hear her so I asked another employee who came from the back to get a drink and although I said lid he tried to hand me a cup. This store has very incompetent people who are lazy. For no reason at all should all of the grill crew be outside smoking when there is a line wrapped around in DT. Management needs to seriously step up and some employees need to be let go. This is why people complain that fast food workers are not deserving of $15/hr. I was once a fast food worker so I understand that they are underpaid however they also don't work as if they deserve that much of a raise. The owner of this store should feel very ashamed by all of the terrible reviews that all are consistent with how slow they are, how lazy they are, how rude they are and how majority of the employees stand outside smoking or have friends that come in who are more important than helping the actual...
Read moreI made a door dash order last night for a grimace meal, and a Mc flurry. What I received was half my order and the door dasher who delivered my order was nearly in tears due to the rudeness she encountered from the McDonald’s workers.
Bear in mind that at this point, and this time of night they are only taking delivery orders from delivery apps and will not take any order from any other person. Meaning I can’t fulfill this order myself even though their website says they’re open to all. When I received my order the fry container was only half filled and both the grimace shake/McFlurry was missing.
I can understand a lack of freshness or food being cold due to delivery but that’s not what I’m focusing on. Half my order was missing and what was there was done so carelessly it was apparent. I received no communication that the ice cream machine was down and with a new promotion (Grimace meal) they’d have to expect people to order it.
This is not my first time having an experience like this at the restaurant location to the point I feel compelled to take time out of my day afterwards to write this review for others who are considering visiting. At this point I’ll be telling my friends to avoid this location if they are expecting consistency and good service. It’s clear they don’t want the...
Read moreOne of the most terribly run fast-food affiliates in Durham. In the last two visits I've gone there they've:
Given me a sprite instead of a diet coke. When I asked why the diet coke was clear, they said they were out of diet soda. I guess they made an executive decision for me.
Given me a large fries that was only half full. Why even pay to get the larger size at that point?
Said they didn't know what sweetener was, then told me that they didn't have any, and when I stared incredulously at the fellow at the window, he went to call his manager who was able to sort through this difficult request
Given me a half-full large container of McFlurry. Again, why even get the large. When I asked the girl at the window if it was supposed to only be half full (I promise I'm an optimist) she stared at me blankly and said yes. No offer to peek at the container, correct it, or an apology. "This is just what you can expect if you dare to come here" her dead, half-open eyes told me.
All this made tons worse by the fact that I was kept waiting in the drive through line for 5-10 minutes...AFTER having ordered while waiting for cars ahead of me to get their food, because of poor service/management/ownership/everything.
Drive the extra half mile to the next McDonalds if you need a big...
