I took my mom to eat there after testing. We both noticed something bitter in our food. We did not take it back, because frankly in NC we noticed no one cares. I thought maybe the lettuce because it looked kind of brown or maybe the tomatoes. I woke up this morning with a sore throat and the first thing I thought of was the food we ate at Panera. The only time we eat out is when we go to the hospital because otherwise I always cook. I asked the cashier if the cold sandwiches are premade cause it tasted like they were, she said no it's all made fresh....first thing you do working a kitchen line is smell all the food- and then you taste all the food. I worked in a lot of kitchens. Something in the sandwiches was spoiled. I've eaten at a lot of Paneras and never experienced this. There was a girl in the kitchen with glasses scrolling through her phone with her gloves on...cell phone is probably the dirtiest thing you can touch while handling food. Don't do it.
