Great way to sample a large number of both local and regional craft beers. For those like me who have never been to this type of establishment, you give them a credit card and ID, they scan it, give it back and give you a bracelet (which probably contains an RFID chip). You take a glass and choose from dozens of taps of different beers. You hold your bracelet up to where the reader is above the tap and it activates said tap. It then measures your pour, in ounces. Each tap has a screen that tells you how much you've poured, total amount poured and how many ounces to pour you have left. Each beer is priced per ounce. Once you're finished sampling, you turn your bracelet in and cash out. As for my actual review, the establishment is very open by design and the staff are very friendly and laid-back, making the atmosphere very welcoming and comfortable. They also have a food menu (think on the scale of appetizers) which from what I saw others eating, would pair well with the whole experience. If you're in Durham, it's definitely worth the time to stop in and sample some really...
ย ย ย Read moreWe had a great evening at Pour. There is a great variety of beer coming from NC and beyond (also wine). They offer a variety of hot grilled cheese style sandwiches, all of which seem delicious. The staff is friendly and the process is simple. You just tap your wrist band on the drink of your choice, and enjoy the beverage. You pay for what you pour at the end. (There's even a little icon on the screen to show you what glass to use). Dress is casual, no need to fancy it up.
Bottom Line: Go. For some small quirks read below. We visited during the first week, so I understand that there are some growing pains; but there are some small things to keep in mind. Currently no outdoor seating. The indoor space is echoey causing a small space with a few people to feel crowded very quickly. The room is bare and homogeneous causing it to fell as if you've never really settled in. Parking can be difficult until the new garage opens up. I am sure that Pour will quickly grow into itself and find an identity in Durham. It is surely a...

You take the bracelet to any of the taps on the wall (glasses are at each end, help yourself), and you hold the bracelet to the sensor above each tap. Once it turns green, you're all set, pull the tap handle and fill however much you want (they don't care if you try tons of them and only fill a sips worth of beer in the glass). Once you're ready to go, just go back to the cashier and hang them your bracelet and they'll give you a receipt.
FOOD: The food comes from a restaurant a few doors down. Sit wherever, order food using the QR code on the table. It doesn't take long and it will get delivered to you at the table. You will need to pick up a number (located in a bin next to the cashier) and provide that in your order on your phone. They'll collect your dishes when...
