La Bonita Bar And Grill — Restaurant in Eagle Grove

My girlfriend and I have been coming here ever since the name changed and it has been fantastic, until today. Our waitress put off the impression that she did not know the menu within 5 minutes of us sitting down. I ordered a Paloma and she did not seem to know what it was because I had to point to it on the menu. When we ordered I got the chicken mole enchiladas which weren’t bad. My girlfriend ordered the choripollo which is what she normally orders. We were informed that they were out of chicken. Minutes after my food was brought out the choripollo was brought out and we were both flabbergasted. They were out of chicken so where did they get the chicken? Our wonderful waitress informed us that it wasn’t chicken breast but it was still chicken that was found some downstairs in what I hope was not an expired freezer burnt package of chicken. I cannot say at this time if we will come back. It is a shame this terrible experience happened to us. I hope that the transparency issues...

I posted a five star review one year ago because the food and service were amazing. The food is still good but the service has been awful the last three or four times we've gone. The last time we went was the straw that broke the camel's back. We didn't go during a busy hour, there were maybe three tables seated when we walked in. Two couples, who came in after us, were seated and given menus before we were seated. We waited 5-10 minutes to get menus and drinks after we were seated. We then waited another 30 minutes before anyone came to get our order, the two couples who'd been seated before us got their food before anyone came to get our order. We are always very polite and tip well when we go out to eat, and I've worked in a restaurant before, so I know what it can be like when it's busy, but this has been the case the last few times...

Probably the worst service and food ever received. Ordered $19 fajitas and it came out maybe 1/4 full. 2 pieces of shrimp, maybe 2 pieces of chicken and another 2 pieces of steak. I asked the server if this was their normal fajitas and without saying anything he snatched the food off the table and told me to leave. I told him I needed to pay for my margarita that I drank (it wasn’t good but I did drink it) and he said no, you leave NOW. So okay, I left. But absolutely terrible service. I didn’t get to actually try the food since it was snatched from me but for $19 it definitely wasn’t worth it anyway. Went across the street and got tacos that...
