Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Eagle River

Not good! Ordered two six piece chicken strip baskets with country gravy tonight. Got home to find ranch dressing in the styrofoam containers that the gravy normally comes in. I called the store, spoke to a person I was told was the manager, who said they ran out of the usual ranch containers, so they used the styrofoam containers instead. I can understand that, but if the person filling my order believed it to be gravy, then why was the ranch I received still ice cold? Last I checked, gravy is supposed to be hot. Considering the price of these meals, this is extremely disappointing. Also, maybe if the teenage boys working there paid better attention to doing their jobs instead of having a contest to see who can hold the most cups in one hand, screwups like this wouldn’t happen. Been going to the Eagle River Dairy Queen for many years. Always a wonderful place. Now, I can't really speak to the work efforts of the staff but I'm very disappointed in what I consider to be serious price gouging. I stopped earlier and wanted a large Diet Coke, $3.49 plus tax is their price. Its insane! And given me other stops there in the past few months I've seen all their prices are seriously beyond reasonable. The only redeeming deal is their 2 for $5 for a select few items. Even their chicken strips are lower in quality than they once were. Although I won't say it's a bad place all around, I will say you're much better off spending your money at a more conventional restaurant as this "fast food" franchise charges the same if not more fir lesser quality and quantity of food for you and...

Went in for lunch around 11:15 am on 10/08/23, while driving to MI. It was so cold in the restaurant the boy at the counter had his sweatshirt hood up. We ordered a cheeseburger meal, a double cheeseburger meal & 1 more double cheeseburger. We had to wait at the table before the food was brought out. All of the food except 1 order of fries was cold & old. We did not eat more than the warm order of fries & a few bites of our cheeseburger each. I went to the counter to let them know everything was old & cold. The manager asked if I wanted "fresh" food. I told her "that would have been nice the first time, but I was throwing all this food out & we wouldn't ever be back." That was $23.82 worth of food. Not 1 apology or offer to return our money.
