What a fun little place to stop at! The weather was icky yesterday so we decided to let the kids come play/burn off some energy to tire them out before we headed for home in our 3.5 hour car ride home! $9/person ages 1-100. Felt the price was reasonable. Prices aren’t that low by us to play at our local children’s museum. My kids loved putting on the snowsuit and riding the snowmobile. The grocery store was a huge hit! I enjoyed putting the food back where they belonged while my kids played! Ha! The bubble wand/balloon thing was super neat! My girls loved standing together and having a balloon encircle around them! The cave was so neat to be able to go in and explore with lanterns, looking for rocks! The life like fire truck with sounds and cute outfits were fun to watch my daughter explore in! I was quite surprised she kept the jacket and hat on her head while she played on it! My kids really loved the room with the giant light bright and air maze thing you put scarves into that got sucked up into, then spat out in the air. My 20 month old had a ball with that and giggled so hard/squealed with delight every time a scarf came out of the tube to be caught! Such a fun, neat little gem to go to! There was so much to do that we didn’t even get to everything! Definitely coming back when we are in the neck of the...
Read moreWe usually love going here, but today I was very disappointed. We got there about 10mins to 2 knowing that they close at 3. I figured that it was ok because we had an hr too play. My youngest son is the one that wanted to go because today is his 10th birthday and it was the only thing he really asked to do. After about 20mins of being there we heard an announcement that they were closing in 15mins. My mother and I looked at each other and said "I thought they were open until 3?" When we heard this we got very upset because we were never told when we walked in that they would be closing soon. If we had known that they were closing 30mins later I would have never spent the 9 dollars per person to get in for myself and my two kids. I'm not one to write a bad review, but because it was my son's birthday and we didn't get to be there as long as we thought we could be there for is the only reason I am writing this. I am hoping that someone see's this and they maybe will change it and say "we would like you to know that we are closing in 30mins", "if you would like to still play we would love to have you, but if not we understand." Or something to that matter. Sincerely, One sad hearted...
Read moreBrought my daughter here and was excited to show her the children’s museum of my childhood but I was a little disappointed. There used to be a hospital area in the farthest corner and there was a cool ambulance and things like that. They’ve completely replaced this area for a dimly lit carnival-themed exhibit to learn about parts of your body. There isn’t much to do in there and it was strange that as one of the newest exhibits, all of the interactive components were not working. Except for the slightly unsettling sound of a heartbeat coming from the giant heart showcased in the middle of the room. The bubble machine also didn’t work while we were there but it was towards the end of the day so maybe the bubble solution had just been used up. There’s still a lot to enjoy about this place but for $9 a person, I would expect better maintenance. I will also say we came right before they closed down for spring cleaning so hopefully they’ll be able to fix many of the flaws! Highlights were the fire truck (which seemed to be a newer addition), the train, and the grocery stores which definitely have held their charm...
