Firehouse 54 Pizza — Restaurant in Eagleville

Do you know those “one horse towns” that are nothing but a stoplight? You drive thru and never really know you’re in it? That’s Eagleville, MO. It’s a Love’s rest stop, and some houses right off the highway. Nothing to really see but cornfields. So of course, stopping here I thought for sure we’d be eating either something from Love’s, subway, or heading to Kansas City.. BUT I took a chance with Google and this pizza place popped up and the reviews sounded good. Tbh I was skeptical because… well.. pizza is subjective and what one person thinks is “good” another is like “god that’s awful!” HOWEVER! The reviews for Firehouse 54 were SPOT ON! This place is FANTASTIC! The cheese sticks are a perfect balance of salt and cheesy goodness, the Buffalo Pizza was FIRE and the ice cream sandwiches were homemade Deliciousness! The exact type of pizza and cheese sticks that pair well with a good beer ( and I’m NOT a beer drinker) but I wanted one with this meal! I cannot say enough about how good this place was. I don’t usually write reviews but felt i absolutely had to write one for here! This place is gem 💎 The crust is somehow light and also sturdy enough to hold a lot of toppings without being floppy. Do yourself a favor and stop here ! This will be our new tradition anytime we drive through on the way to Kansas City to visit. My daughter’s favorite food is pizza and she said this is the best pizza she has ever had. Do yourself a favor- EAT HERE! We were on our way back to Texas from Minnesota and stopped over for the night. I had read the reviews and told my kids we were going to have pizza. Told them this place had great reviews! We got to Eagleville and the kids laughed at me… “Of course they have great reviews, mom. It’s the only place in town” One bite changed their tune.
