Disappointed yet again.
The last time I ate here was in the late 90's when a friend named Lori ran the counter and before I headed away for college. I called the other place in East Berlin for a pizza at 9:32PM and there was no answer. Therefore I called Jim and Nena's. BIG mistake yet again. The pizza looked great but when I got home and ate it I realized it's just as craptastic as before... So the cheese tastes like plastic. I am not sure how they do this or if it is even real cheese, but it doesn't taste like anything made from milk. It's bland and tasteless and disgusting. The pepperoni is, well, your standard pepperoni but the sausage are those microscopic bits of sausage with no flavor. The sauce also had absolutely no flavor. I think they take it directly from the #10 cans and pour it on dough. The crust was covered in so much flour I could have shaken the pizza, collected the flour, and baked a separate order of breadsticks when I got home. The place appeared to be employing only high-school or college kids and this may be the reason for inedible food. I have no idea how they stay in business. Maybe the laundry machines in the back? I ate 1 slice and threw the rest in the garbage. I can usually eat 2-3-4 slices of a large pizza
See you again in another 20 years. Maybe then you'll figure out what real pizza...
Read moreFood is good and fairly priced but the lady who takes your order can be a bit, um, what's the word..."Harsh", I was going to use another word but that would be mean. .
She seems to only play nice if she knows you. When I order, I feel like I'm bothering her. Her sarcastic tone when she says "Is that it?", send's shivers through me like fingernails on a chalkboard. Her "thank you"s" seem forced. And Heaven help you if you ask a question about something. The look you will get could kill you. Don't ask for water as your drink either, her glare could cause the place to explode. Need someone else to be the first person a customer...
Read moreGreat place for pizza. Spotless clean. Excellent service: friendly and helpful. Food tasted very good. We ordered a large pizza with grilled onions, mushrooms and smoked sausage. The slight smokiness was not overpowering and gave a delicious taste to the pizza. I gave the food 4⭐ because we felt there could've been much more of the meat topping, and perhaps even more mushrooms. There were enough of the grilled sweet onions to our liking. Prices are very reasonable. Plenty of free parking in the lot behind the building. We will be returning for pizza and I'd like to try the...
