Red Sombrero West Chester — Restaurant in East Goshen Township

Overall, this is a solid place to take care of your taco, burrito, and nacho craving. The restaurant was spotless, well laid out for placing and receiving your order, and there was plenty of space to dine in. The refrigerated beverage case had a good selection of Jarritos and other Mexican sodas.

The host kindly took our takeout order and made us feel welcomed. Our Nachos, Chimichanga, and Fish Tacos came out in a reasonable amount of time, maybe around 10 minutes. Our House Nachos with chicken were loaded; they did not skimp on ingredients. We ordered the 2 Taco Combo and selected the Fish Taco (grilled mahi-mahi) and Baja Fish Taco (beer-battered cod), and both were tasty. The sauces on the tacos complimented the fish very well. The Chimichanga with barbacoa was deep-fried well, and the meat was tender.

I expected the flavors to be a bit bolder given this was Mexican food, which is not a knock against the quality of the product, but just more of my preference. The service here was fast, friendly, and of a good value. I look forward to returning to try more...

Red sombrero in Kennett square has always been my favorite spot to go to but since it’s closed at the moment and my girlfriend asked what I wanted for my birthday I went out my way to this location, I was very disappointed with this location. It started out with the customer service the cashier (a guy) just had an attitude while we were ordering, on top of that he was watching us with a mean face the whole time we were eating there, I did not feel comfortable at all.. I got two burritos and the steak was cold and barely had any meat any flavor. Had a couple of fish tacos, authentic 2 flour shells. Lots of salsa choices., I am back for more 5/15/2025 this is my new favorite, if you like Mexican food you are going to love this place, I have recommended it to several people already and several people have recommended it to me or told me that it is one of their favorites as well. This visit I tried 3 different tacos Cauliflower Tacos, Fish Taco and Baja Fish Taco. They were all wonderful but the Baja Fish Taco really took the top prize for me.
