Terrible service
Final got to take my daughter to dinner for her birthday, because she wanted pizza. We get there and we asked if can sit outside, we are forgot about to start the Bad experience off. So we have to come inside to place our order, but decided to sit inside, so we’re directed to a bar stool table which would have been fine if I didn’t have my other 2 year old daughter with me. So we’re directed to a booth and ask to speak to a manger and was told there was no manger on tonight and directed to someone else. Had make my order to the waitress that we seen heading to our table. Once we got the food no one came to check on use had order water for us and my 2 year old was given a large ice water so once again I had to go to the front desk to get a Childs cup. Since no one came to the table once we got the food, we had to wait into they remember we were there. Yet again in asked the lady we had been directed to about the manger, she told me she was the manger and told her about our terrible experience. Instead of taking ownership of their error and trying to make it right with me. Was just told that they were busy, couldn’t be that busy because there were empty tables and the waitress two tables down had time to talk with the customers. So we ask if we were done I ask for the check and boxes. We were only given a box for one of our items and had to go back up to the desk for more boxes. The food was really good, but it felt like I was working at the...

If you’re driving down route 20 at 60 mph it’s easy enough to pass unnoticed. Don’t.
Regulars often go for the turkey bacon grinder. I’m a fan.
Gio’s doesn’t skimp on ingredients.
I’ve had various items from Gio’s which have all ranged from good to great. I’m Italian and know pizza. Good pizza is increasingly rare in CT, and getting too weird. Last week I had their pizza for the first time.
Gio’s makes a solid, old-style pizza, the kind that was available easily when the South End of Hartford was Sicilian.
I had just about given up on CT restaurant pizza. Prior to this, I had gotten a pizza to go at a local, wildly popular place in Farmington (WT). A medium was priced same as a large at Gio’s. Worse, when I got it home, I found it was so thin the entire crust was burned black. All you complaining about Gio’s having too much cheese? This had almost none. Same for toppings.
Prices are more reasonable than in Hartford or New...
Read moreWe went for a working lunch. Service was erratic at best. Two people in our party had to leave for work obligations and they ordered their food to go. The waitress did not bring the food when it was ready. She also completely forgot to ring in the food of one of the people eating in-house. One person ordered a bbq pulled pork quesadilla and was served a buffalo chicken quesadilla. Another person order a bbq chicken wrap and was served a soggy crispy chicken wrap. The receipt showed she rang in the incorrect items. Lastly, someone ordered a side salad instead of fries. The lettuce was disgusting, brown, and had an off taste. This item went straight into the trash. This place is convenient location wise but food has gone down hill. Very upsetting as a local business who frequents this location with customers, but cannot risk bringing customers here any more if...
