Ordered my pizzas by phone. Went in about 40 minutes later to pick them up to find no order was ever placed. Spoke to one of the brothers to try explain (showing him my phone that I called, was on the phone placing order for 46 seconds). He kept saying that they said 45 minutes and it wasn’t 45 minutes yet and that’s why there was no order ready. I was getting rightfully frustrated because he wasn’t hearing that I wasn’t complaining about the wait, I was referring to the fact my order got lost. He said “You’re too rude for me. See all the people here. We don’t need you.” This is the 2nd time I’ve heard him blow off a customer during the 3 times I’ve patronized the business. I will NEVER, ever go here again. Nice way to treat the lifeline of your business. You are immature and clearly not a business man. Keep up this behavior and we’ll see how long you last.i plan on telling every single person I know how you’re treated in this establishment. Addition: In response to your response. Not quite how it went down. You didn’t make an offer of is there anything we can do… before I left and you said mistakes are often made over the phone and that my order was probably in the back. I tried to tell you the woman answering the phone already went in the back and came back to say there was no order in the back. I went to my car to get my phone yo show you I called and placed the order. I didn’t shove my phone in her face. Was trying to show i made the order. Talk about being disingenuous. Get all your facts. An apology for a mistake on your part would have gone a long way. I didn’t tell YOU you don’t know how to run a business. I’m saying it here but right, I did tell you I had ordered somewhere else because I wasn’t waiting another 45 minutes for you to...

It’s really hard to root for this establishment when there is consistent unreliability from the food to the hours.

The first time I ordered take-out I was so impressed and pleased (mashed potato bacon pie, and balsamic pie). Happily returned a few times!

One time I ordered the same thing and the quality was very different. There was no sour cream on the mashed potato pie and it looked sloppy. It had also taken a very long time for the pizza to be ready. I figured it was an off night.

Since then, I’ve tried at least 2 times to order delivery well before closing, only to find out the establishment had closed early. One was a Sunday night - I called to place a takeout order and they told me the kitchen was already closing. Certainly disappointing but not a deal breaker.

Last night, a Wednesday, I placed an order on UberEats, which was received and confirmed by the restaurant. A driver was set to pick it up - arrived at the restaurant, and reported to UberEats that the business had already closed for the night. By this time, it was too late to order from many other restaurants as their cut off times for delivery orders had then passed.

I’m not sure why a fairly new business would close earlier than their advertised hours, even if it’s a slow night! Confusing...

My husband and I got hot wings, and a large pizza (w/ 2 alcoholic drinks). Everything was alright, but not super amazing or anything. Although the pizza looks super good, it was lacking in flavor and a bit too watery and mediocre for the price. The wings were pretty good though. Hot, saucy, and singed my nose hairs (more so because they're vinegary too). But nothing to write home about. It kills me that they give cheese instead of ranch for dipping though, but I must be too Midwestern.

My espresso martini tasted somewhat unpleasant too, and I can't really put my finger on what exactly was wrong with it... Kind of like dirty soapy water. I've ordered it many times before then, and it never tasted quite like it, and I was sad trying to finish it. It was too expensive too. But it definitely got me quite drunk drinking that first on an empty stomach!

I think overall it's not a bad place to eat at, but it's not really so special or good that I'd ever crave to go there. Just convenient and pleasant enough w/ atmosphere & service. Because I think it's pretty okay and mediocre, I give it 3 stars for now.

Maybe in the future I'll update this review if there's something else on the menu...

🍕 Thin crust that slaps and wings that never stop 🍗 Which would you choose? 🤨 On cheat days that I'm not counting calories, I think I found my new happy place 😁🤩 I was super excited for the all you can eat wings, until I heard how good their pizza was, and no lies were detected! 🤤 You might wanna go check out @NickysPlaceCT in East Haven, CT on separate days so that you can try the pizza on one day and take advantage of the all you can eat wings for $22 another day (available Thurs, Sat, Sunday or Monday)! Or, get the AYCE wings (or boneless) and take a pie to go! 🍕 #aycewings #thincrustpizza #easthaven #nickysplace #newhavencountyeats

I wish I had more pics because these don't do the place justice. They have come a long way since they opened! Besides great pizza and apps, big meaty wings and fresh tenders, salads, sandwiches, and build-your-own burgers, the newly added lobster rolls and fried seafood are out of this world! And super reasonable compared to higher end seafood restaurants in the area! The batter is so nice and light and crispy, even by the time take-out gets home! I hear they have a new chef, formally from a local seafood restaurant and it is amazing! The place is super casual and not too big. A few booths, some high tops and a long bar, with big screen TVs and a pool table. Seems to be a great neighborhood spot to watch football. The owner, Anthony, is super nice and works hard in the kitchen and the staff hustles on the floor and behind the bar. (especially Ashley!) Our new go-to-place for convenience and great food at reasonable prices! Good luck, team. Keep up the great work!
