I went here because the reviews proclaimed it to be real authentic and delicious. I ordered stew chicken and it tastes more like barbecue chicken. The rice is undercooked. I haven’t tasted the cabbage yet but I’m pretty sure that’s gonna be underwhelming as well. Everyone’s taste is different, but this is definitely not top-notch. It’s a “decent” plate if you just need something to eat. I’m a little annoyed because I sought out this place specifically because of the reviews, but had a number of other choices that are much better. I think this is mid ground, which is why I gave it a three out of five.

Was told my oxtail dinner had steam cabbage and instead it’s old lettuce and cold salad. What would make you think I wouldn’t know the difference? For the price of this meal you should tell people what you have and don’t have. Who eats cold salad with oxtails? Very disappointed with this meal.

I was recommended by a friend to come here. I'm so happy I did cause the food was so good. Roger was very polite and attentive. I was served right away. I am very pleased with the customer service. Thanks, guys, for being open at this time of night.

The Food Is Great, This Is My 3rd Time Eating Here & My LAST. The First 2 Times I Ordered Off The Lunch Menu About 2 Months Ago.. 1 Order Of Stew Chicken & 1 Order Of Curry Chicken. First 2 Times I Was Charged $8($4 Each). Today I Ordered The Same Exact Thing( As Usual ) & My Total Was $20! I Went In The Car To Check The Lunch Menu To See If Maybe It’s Only On Certain Days. Today Is Tuesday ! Lunch Menu Is From Mon-Friday! I Went Back Inside & He Said “You Said You Wanted The Small” I Said No, I Said I Wanted The Lunch Special, I Even Called My Order In For Pickup For The LUNCH SPECIAL. He Said So What Do You Want ? I Said I Want The Lunch Special.. That’s Why When You Gave Me The Food I Said This Is A Big Portion.. This Is The Lunch Special? You Said Yes. He Caught An Attitude With Me And Moved Onto The Next Customer. He Came Back To Me And I Told The Guy It’s Supposed To Be $8 And You Charged Me $20. The Man Said We Haven’t Done That Since Last Year. I Said That’s funny Because I’ve BEEN Ordering This For The Past 2 Months... & If I’ve Been Saying LUNCH SPECIAL This Whole Time And You Charge Me $20 WHAT Really Is The SPECIAL If You’re Charging Me Regular Price ?? I Said You Need To Take This Special OFF Your Website. I Never Got My Money Back Or Anything! Food Is Good And Everything But The Men Are Unprofessional & Rude. Definitely Will NOT Be...

I had been hearing good things so I decided to check this place out for years. Cashier is a short/slightly rude(SNUCK IN A EXTRA CHARGE SEE AT THE END OF REVIEW) Food seemed old LIKE IT HAD BEEN SITTING. Went for lunch but took it to go didn't have enough time to sit down so ate in car. Food was not fresh. It was lunch time so seem like it would have been a little fresher....rice and peas were warm but had a flavor.... and the jerk chicken was warm(no steam)dry and had no flavor. The portions were hefty(which was good) Maybe it was an off day because I am seeing good reviews. The container they put the food in wasn't even giving off heat...and I didn't have time to go back and complain because like I said it was to go we were pressed for time. Three reasons I won't return.

  1. When you walk in you should be greeted with kindness and patience there was NONE (first impression are everything when I spend my money
  2. Food was just barely warm
  3. The food overflowed container wouldn't close on any of them.....I mentioned if they had bags she said yes...but then charge 50cts we didn't realize the charge until she ran the card...we spent over $40 AND YOU COULDN'T GIVE US A FREE BAG SORRY I CANNOT GIVE THEM A GOOD REVIEW AND...

They say NJ is one of the WORSE states for Jamaican food. They haven't visited Tropical Flavors. The food here is as authentic as you can get. The Cow Foot soup I've purchased every Tuesday since before Covid. The Goat Head on Fridays & Stew Peas on Saturdays Chef's Kiss I've purchased soup every Tues, Fri & Sat from 2019- Present... ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS 😋 I'd recommend the Soups, the BB-Fry, Oxtail, oh the Fry Chicken 😋, the Curry Goat, & my ABSOLUTE Favorite dish on the menu is the Escovitch Fish that's made to order. IT'S A MUST TRY!! I have family members that drive up from Ewing & Cherry Hill just to get food from here. They leave with 5-6trays sometimes. The staff is friendly & super respectful & always greet you with a smile. The energy/ vibe at the restaurant is very inviting. I Recommend. I Recommend. 10 of of 10 I...
