McDonald's — Restaurant in East Peoria

Today we went to get food from this location and when my husband gave the cashier $10.00 and our card, he told her to used the ten first and charge the card for the remaining balance. I kid you not, the cashier took the money, PUT IT IN HER POCKET AND CHARGED MY CARD THE FULL AMOUNT!l and THEN did not offer a receipt. We waited a few minutes before she opened the door back up, asked for a receipt and pulled to the next window, got our food and asked for the manager. We explained the situation and the manager came back stating that it did seem that this was the case but then states that the cashier said that she was only given $9.00 not $10.00... And you believe her after she just pocketed the money and didnt put it in the register?! My husband took it with a grain of salt and advised her that she was given a $10 bill that never made it into the cash register and that he wanted his money back as the receipt clearly shows that our card was billed the full amount. We got home and my husband became more upset because he couldn't believe what he just witnessed and how horribly the manager handled this situation. He called them back and asked for the manager again but didnt get the same woman he had talked to before and they were dismissive when he was trying to explain what happened so he hung up. Moral of the story, ALWAYS CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS!! Especially here because they don't realize is that we always check because we aren't made if money and when we go have extra cash to treat ourselves and out kids, its very few and in between so we always notice when things like this happen. Not everyone cares or has this luxury, but just be careful when you pay for your things, wherever you go because there are places like these that take advantage of people like us and then allow the behavior...

Let me start by saying I live 2 mins from this McDonald’s- Washington street- and go very frequently, but will NOT be going back.

#1 the food always is missing fries, or has way too much sauce. I love sauce, but when your burger has enough mustard to kill a rat, then it’s too much

#2 the employees are rude. There’s always this blonde lady at night who complains about people in front of customers and the people who take your order have no sense of customer service and will have conversations while taking your order

#3 my boyfriend applied and set up an interview online. He was able to set one up. His interview was for Friday. He showed up 15 minutes early. Then they said a manager wasn’t there and to come back the next day. Every day they pushed it back consecutively- but still telling him to come back the next day until it was Wednesday. At one point the lady said “sorry I can’t do the interview because my baby is in the hospital”. Understandable in a sense that an interview couldn’t be held. But what is not understandable is that by the time after showing up every day on WEDNESDAY (5 days of showing up early in Dress clothes) they inform him that THEY ARENT HIRING. Wouldn’t that have been nice to know in the first place instead of roping your sick baby into it and continuing to tell him to come back. IT REALLY SEEMED LIKE THEY WOULD BE HIRING BECAUSE IT SEEMS LIKE NO ONE THERE CAN DO THEIR JOB.

#4 the night manager who knows how to make sweet tea (I think she just went on vacation?) right and the girl with red braids who works the front a lot are really good and professional and were the sole reasons we were going, but now not even their great service can save this dumpster fire of a shitty...

I wish there was a way to put 0 stars. Very rude with no customer service! i order a spicy mcrispy with only pickle, mayo and cheese. and a regular mcrispy with no pickle add cheese, bacon and extra mayo. neither sandwich had mayo on it, the spicy one had tomato and lettuce on it. i turned around n went back thru the drivethru explained to them THEIR MISTAKE!! they told me to pull around, i get to the first window and they don’t say anything. the “manager” had told the other worker that the one just didn’t have extra mayo, i let her know that wasnt just the case! she was very rude when she told me she ready it back to me when she did not repeat the spicy mcrispy, i would of corrected her! She then started getting mouthy cause i asked her to have some customer service! (ive worked in customer service i know what customer service is) She then proceeded to tell me she was giving me a refund i explained to her that i didnt want a refund i wanted my food fixed! she then proceeded to argue with me and just keep telling me she was giving me a refund. So i asked then can you give me my refund she disrespectfully said give me the food. So YES i threw the food at her. you want to get disrespectful thats okay. But to then throw food into my car! Now you have refused to have customer service(part of ur job description)! Youve refused to fix my food that YOU GUYS MESED UP! Youve refused me my refund and youve thrown food in my car! i called to ask for the General manager or district managers number and she refused, You can NOT refuse a managers number to any customer! i used to go there almost everyday, never again!
