Taco John's — Restaurant in East Peoria

I absolutely love Taco Johns. Favorite fast food place hands down! However, tonight me and my boyfriend went to go through the drive thru. We sat and waited for about five minutes and nobody said anything. Tried saying hello to get their attention. Nothing. We drive around the restaurant to see if there’s anyone there, and I check their hours online. Says they close at midnight. No sign saying they’re closing early, and as we drive around theres an employee trying to hide from us. Drive around again and there’s a man walking toward the restaurant in a Taco Johns uniform. Man goes inside, we think: “okay we’re gonna get tacos now.” Try to go through the drive thru again. Nobody talks to us or answers. My boyfriend finally pulls around to the door and gets out and knocks. Guy previously trying to hide from us pops out from behind counter and motions that they’re closed. C’mon Taco Jons. Do Better....

They mess my order up EVERY SINGLE TIME. I asked for a #8 with no lettuce and tomato they forgot my potatoes AND I had lettuce and tomato on my burrito the 1st time. They gave me a free meal coupon(which I had to wait a week for) I used it got the same thing get home and AGAIN there was lettuce and tomato on it. All I want to do after a long day is sit down and eat dinner. Recommend you guys start reading orders back and reading your screens better. It’s sad I’m going to have to start checking my food every.....single....time before I leave now. I’ll just start making the drive to Creve Coeur from now on. I’m sick and tired of never getting a full meal that I ask for the RIGHT way. Now I have to wait a whole week for a coupon just to hopefully get my burrito the...

Taco johns has become my default Mexican restaurant. They've got some pretty great deals, and their burritos are sublime. Every item I've tried has been fantastic. I've tried most of the menu at this point, I would say the burritos are the main things driving me back in. But the tacos are alright, if a little boring.

Taco John, if you had something like the taco bell Doritos tacos you would probably get me in even more. More flavor options for the tacos would be great.

Everything about Taco Johns is starchy, but that just makes it much better after a night of drinking with friends.
