The Broadway Diner has been one of my favorites places to eat breakfast and my family and I enjoyed going there. I WILL NEVER go back there again. I went to have breakfast with my child who is only 2 years old. As any child he is very playful and likes to move a lot, my child had a moment where he yelled for about 3 seconds and I told him not to yelled. One of the employees yelled at him and told him to stop screaming, at first I thought she was playing around until I saw her face and gave us attitude. I didn’t say anything to her cause I was just trying to be polite. She then went ahead and talked to other costumers about my son and how “bad he was behaving”. That was extremely rude and unprofessional of her part. I am extremely upset and feel so disrespected. As management and worker you should never talk about a Costumer to another costumer. Her behavior was disgusting. That place was my mothers in law favorite place to have breakfast, she passed away two months ago, it was the last place we had breakfast together and we haven’t been there since then until today, and it was a very emotional time for us and your employee ruined that for me. The diner is not Family FRIENDLY. If you have children I recommend you refrain from...
Read moreWe have been going to the diner regularly for a few years. When Tony was the manager and cook everything was very consistent. Good food, good service with all the same servers, the diner was clean and orderly. The food presentation was great and always the correct order. Since Tony retired a couple of years ago and new management came in the diner has gone downhill! Our order is never right, often the food is cold. The food most of the time is thrown on the plate. Every week there is a new server! There is a constant staff change over. The booths are all ripped and taped up. They are uncomfortable to sit on. The restaurant is not clean , the manager is very inappropriate in the way she speaks to the customers using foul language as well. We will not be going back! We kept giving the diner another chance and finally after the last time we were in a couple of weeks ago it was so dirty, food came out all wrong, another new server, and the floor in the downstairs room was so slippery and dirty! The server was even sliding on it! It grossed me right out! Do not sit near the bathrooms because they smell of urine. It’s a shame because it was such a great place to go, however new management has...
Read moreRemember the pylons in Land Of The Lost, how they were considerably more expansive inside than they appeared on the outside? This place is sort of like that, only minus the Sleestack, crystal control panel, and general darkness (and of course the Allosaurus waiting outdoors). Well, beside all that, inside awaited a friendly staff and attentive waitress (Ann), the place was clean, boasted an above average menu, the likes of which were beautifully and deliciously executed. I got the Nova Lox Benedict, and split a Passion French Toast with my wife, who just got two eggs, over easy (both entrées came with red potato home fries). All yummy. I felt like I was great with child when I left.
This has now become our choice place for breakfast, with equally delicious experiences each week, including Artichoke and Avocado Omelette, Pumpkin Pancakes that'll curl your toes, and Banana Bread French Toast. Again, totally stuffed to the gills when we left.
What's not to like? I'm probably shooting myself in the foot by such a glowing review, in that the place might get...
