Town Pizza — Restaurant in East Providence

I have been going there for over 30 years, however last night was the worst and probably last time I'll go for a long while. The restaurant only had a few people there with a few at the bar and 3 or 4 booths occupied. The one booth with 4 people seated were very load talking over each other to the point the waitress could not even hear our order and it had to be repeated several times. When we mentioned how loud it was the waitress rolled her eyes at us. That lasted our entire meal, it was so bad we couldn't even hear each other at the table. We mentioned it again and again got an eye roll. Come to find out it was the owner at the table. When we mentioned it to her at the end of our meal she totally ignored us and walked away. The waitress is never pleasant and has been there a long time, but last night she was extra miserable, maybe she was frustrated with noise as well. She forgot or didn't hear the order but our garlic bread didn't finally arrive until more than half way through our dinner. The food is always good, and usually makes up for other things, however even that was not as good. Prices seem to go up every time we go, but that's every where so can't hold that against them. However what is now added to the bill is a credit card fee if you use a card. This is the first time I have ever written a negative review or tipped less than 20%. I'm so sorry to see the decline in service and number of empty booths...

Very bad. It's like they don't care anymore. We used to get pizza from Town Pizza a lot, but after the last time, we will not be ordering from them anymore.

We called in delivery, and they quoted us 45 minutes. Turned out to over an hour, and they forgot one of the pizzas. The driver asked me to call them about it (apparently he didn't want to), and when I did, the person said the driver was just leaving with it.

20 minutes late (we live 5 minutes away), the forgotten pizza still hadn't arrived, so I called back. The person who answered said THEY didn't tell me that, and the driver should be there shortly, which they were.

The driver was smirking as he handed me the pizza, which finally arrived 1 1/2 hours after I called it in. I don't know why he was smirking, but it really put me off. My pizza was forgotten, and now late, the driver should have been in a rush to make it up to the customer.

Opening the pizza box, we just knew they didn't care. The pizza was tepid, lukewarm, cheese not melting at all, and the edges of the crust had already gone cold and hard. The other pizza that arrived "on time" was just like this one.

Then, finally getting ready to eat my dinner, I saw the "large" Greek salad actually the small size. Sigh.

Very long wait. Tepid, lukewarm pizza. Order forgotten. Bad customer service. Wrong size food. Slow re-delivery. Another tepid, lukewarm pizza.

They just don't...

The food is good, for the most part. But everything else, not so much. EVERY time I order from them I’m overcharged! Today I ordered a meal that I’ve ordered 100 times in the past. When it got here the delivery driver gave me a total and it was $10 MORE than it should have been. So I call there to find out what is going on. The lady states that the 3 pc chicken dinner has gone up from $11.25 to $14.30. Mind you I just ordered this meal on Friday. It’s now Tuesday. I order from this establishment at least twice a week. So you think they would say prices have changed. But they DIDNT. Besides that, I told them what I wanted for sides. As well as what I DIDNT want.
