Cantina Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Rochester

Our first time. No sign outside. Inside essentially a full service bar serving food. Greeted immediately and told to sit anywhere. We ordered drinks, 3 tacos (beef, chicken, pork), 1 steak burrito and a California burger. The drinks were fine. I ordered the tacos with onions on the side and no sour cream on anything. The tacos arrived with the burger. There were no onions on the side. Of the tacos, the chicken was the best, followed by the pork and the steak was the least tasty. The burger was missing the avocado. After asking about my missing burrito it arrived with sour cream. The steak was a bit chewy. We met the owner, a really nice guy. I wish him the best. The prices were the best of any Mexican restaurant in the area. However the food was just ok. The biggest let down was the wait staff. I had to flag down the server twice to get a second beer. Then I had to flag down the server to get my bill, also twice. I will try again once they have the steam table installed. If I were to go back today, I would try the...

Finally!!!! A TRUE Mexican place with authentic food. None of this so called Mexican food from the "bell" place. Everything was prepared fresh and to my order. I ordered the chicken quesadilla (3 actually), the steak burrito, and 3 tacos(chicken, steak, and pork). Let me tell you, the taste of the food did not disappoint. It was fresh and DELICIOUS!!! The atmosphere was great also. Everyone was extremely friendly and provided great customer service. The owner came over, shook my hand, and introduced himself. You just get a feeling that you belong when in there. I had read the reviews about this place and the food. They were so positive that I had to try it. I'm telling you that the reviews are spot on. Great food, great service, great prices, and a wonderful atmosphere. I will definitely be back...

Hands down best tacos I've had in my life.

I normally scoff at places charging $4 for a taco, but you basically get 2 tacos for everyone you order. Each one comes with two tortillas, so I took mine apart and split the meat and they were still almost too full. I will not be going for there frequent $1 taco specials because I would feel guilty paying just $1 for all of that.

I'm the kind of person who brings their own hot sauces when they eat out - but the red and green sauces provided were both incredible. When I asked for lids to take what I had left home the server brought me lids + 2 extra cups, which was just the absolute icing on the cake.
