I was there tonight at 8pm. The time is now 8:47pn and I live maybe 2 miles from the store.
I ordered 2 Double Bacon Cheeseburges (one without ketchup), a Butterfinger blizzard, a Cherry freeze and a Peanut Buster Parfait; totaling around $40.
There was a girl w several mouth piercings working the drive thru. I had to ask for a carry case and lids for the ice cream (common occurrenceat this branch). There was no straw included either. I do not understand why they assume you want ice cream without lids whwn there is two ppl in the car.
Anyway, In that time, A young lady with long wavy brown hair and glasses made her coworker a lime freeze and handed it to him. After, she made herself some ice cream. She then proceeded to eat it behind the drive counter as a patron watched and the drive thru backed up.
A tall young man w red/auburn floppy hair put a garbage bag in the container behind the counter. The girl gave us our ice cream after it sat on the counter for a bit instead of chilling it while our food cooked.
We waited about 20+ minutes for the burgers while the drive thru was backing up. I'm pretty sure they forgot we had food.
A blonde girl was wandering the back counter as a patron stood waiting to order or ask for something. She must have been new. One of the other staff gave it to him.
Now it was clear they forgot we had burgers. The girl w the piercings kept looking at us and then the screen. Then a light bulb went on. Ping!
She walked away and came back w them moments later.
I should have checked them before leaving but didn't. My fault. We got home about 5 minutes later and when I opened the package, there was ketchup on both burgers, the bacon wasn't even cooked past prep and the lettuce was clearly old/brown. The burgers were cold. I'm pretty sure they were taken from the hot bed and put together w zero grill time. The buns were old, dry and actually cold.
Irritated by what I watched and what I received, I called the store right away requesting that a coupon be available to me the next day for the correct burger. The kid refused (I assume he was the tall floopy red/auburn haired young man) to take my complaint and even started to deny it happened until I described visuals of what I saw. He indicated he was the kid w the red/auburn floppy hair when I confronted him. His demeanor angered me even more. What a dope.
He said I'd have to call his manager in the morning and didn't even apologize for screwing up my order, making us wait or for messing around during.
When I asked the boy for his name he said, "I don't think that's necessary". Ok...whatever. He knew he was busted. He also said he didn't know it wasn't supposed to have ketchup. WELL maybe try looking at the order! She repeated it to me so I know she had it logged correctly in the POS. Along w proper sales and service etiquette, I'm not sure they knew they were supposed to cook the burger either. My ice cream is in my freezer because it was melting from the wait.
I was also given no receipt. I did use my debit card.
You have idiots working there. Kids are one thing. But eating behind the counter, nor washing hands after touching your mouth, and screwing around when your drive thru is packed, clearly more training is needed. Also, eating behind the counter is gross. Wash...

Well my Daughter and her fiancé ordered food online from the Eau Claire Birch Street site when they got there they said they had nothing in their name when my daughter had the proof of the purchase and the order number. the girl at the window said hold on. My daughter and her fiancé wait there 10 minutes in the drive-through And a guy comes to the window and starts screaming instantly at my kids, telling them that there’s nothing they’re gonna do about it and that they need to leave the property. ( I know it wasn’t. There’s nothing we can do about it. The man straight up said he wasn’t going to do anything about it and that they had to leave.) unfortunately, the police which I completely understand can’t do anything about it because it’s a civil matter but they still guided my kids in the right direction. This isn’t the first time this happened. It happened to me there once also. They didn’t scream at me but were extremely rude. I don’t think I or my daughter n fiancé have ever had a great or good experience with the employees there. You Pay for your food you should get your food. It’s that’s simple. A lot of the employees there are extremely rude and disrespectful and some down right nasty. They need to really clean up their crew.
So the kids called a manager from another Dairy Queen in the area and the restaurant manager there gave the owners email for all the Dairy Queen’s in Eau Claire My daughter is literally 39 weeks pregnant and was craving her Dairy Queen. They spent a lot of money there in the last nine months they’ve gotten a lot of business from them. They should be a little...
Read moreDairy Queen at Birch St in Eau Claire WI. Found some sundaes in their freezer that were 50% off so decided to get one for myself and my son. I asked why they were discounted and the young girl at the counter told me they were mistakes. When I paid for them and opened the lid one of them had frozen mosquitoes in it. Feeling disgusted I bought it to the front desk and asked for the manager... not to complain but to make them aware. The young girl... maybe the manager was very rude and totally turned me off.... no apology and asked me if I wanted a refund. Was told by her in a very uncaring way that I would have to pay full price for replacements??!!?! I don’t care about the full price and paying a couple bucks but the way the situation was handled by her was horrible. I would not have left this review but what made me do it is that when left the girl at the counter very sarcastically said “have a great day” and had an smirk on her face that made me so irate I almost said something right then and I should have! I hope the owners read this and can train their employees about customer service. Will not be going there again. In less I wanted some dead...
