Was looking forward to going here since they haven't been open for very long. Hate to say was rather disappointed. Service was good. Atmosphere was about as sterile as a doctor's office. Virtually no decor besides one leaning picture on the wall. The food was so so. Just very bland and for the money it just fell short on taste and quantity compared to the many other Mexican restaurants in town. Also the junk and piles of old lumber and pallets piled up out back don't help any. I hope they can make it work. Hands down, The Best authentic Mexican food in Anderson!!! Don’t worry about the decor, the food is the star! I’m from San Diego and being that close to Mexico, I’ve had excellent Mexican food for over 50 years. I miss it terribly. I’ve tried other Mexican restaurants here, but nothing compares to this place. They nailed it!! I finally found food worthy of the name! Try the Al pastor street tacos. Do the double corn tortillas with onions & cilantro. Ask for the 2 hot sauces. They have heat so be careful! The rice and beans are exactly how they make them in Mexico and delicious. Ate there for the first time ever, 8/31/2024 on a Saturday at 5 on a whim, it was absolutely phenomenal. I’m so glad and feel blessed that we wanted to go in. I had the number 25, my husband had the number 9. The Chile relleno is my favorite and it is THE BEST ONE I’ve ever had. Absolute best. The service was quick and kind, and the environment is great, and the FOOD. I could go on and on. Amazing. 10 stars. Don’t hesitate, just go. Give these fantastic people your business.
