Waffle House — Restaurant in Edgewood

I have ate at this restaurant more than once but tonight was by far the worst night I've ever had there. When my son and I first entered there were about two tables that had already been served food. They looked like they were about finished. We sat down at the table there was syrup on the table but the table had been wiped. The temperature of the room with literally freezing very uncomfortable temperature and I'm hot natured usually. The two waitresses during shift change where arguing over a shortage in the drawer and the amount of $80. To me that was very unprofessional. We then ordered our food, we waited 47 minutes before we were served I asked to make a to go order that was never taken.we were almost done with our meal when she tried to take it. I said forget it I'll go somewhere else to order my husband's food. I never got a refill on my soda. I had to yell to get jelly for our toast. The grits were definitely old (they were at the bottom of the pan) worst grits I've ever ate and yes I did try to eat them. My waffle was so crispy that it was almost unedible. I'm usually a sweet person but tonight I was so upset with the order and the service that I was given I understand it wasn't a waffle House issue and it was mostly the service. I know waffle House employees can do better I have worked at a waffle House, and I know that it don't take 45 minutes to make what I order. (at most 10 minutes especially with no wait.) Which was the All-Star breakfast with a side of hash brown smothered covered in capped. My son ordered the eggs and bacon plate. He did not have hash browns he ordered grits instead. I'm just informing so for the waitresses reviewing this they know what the problem was and hopefully they can...

Been a server for 3 years of my life, consider myself a very kind and patient person and we actually walked out of this waffle house. 35 years I have never walked out of a restaraunt without paying.

Husband orders hash browns. Chunked and smothered. Waitress repeats, peppered and chunked? We say no, chunked and smothered twice. So he watches as his waffle is made and sits and gets cold while the waitresses count their money on the counter. Finally they bring out our food (my sandwich was the only hot part) and his hash browns are wrong. She takes then back, offers no apology. He wants to eat his waffle, but she gave him no syrup and disappeared. After 2 waitresses told him to hold on, a third gets him the stickiest bottle I've ever seen. She actually washed her hand after handing it to him. Well, the top part of the mix was just soapy water so he poured that into his waffle (they don't dry their lids clearly. At this point he says, I don't need anything. Just take my food off the bill. They offer no apology and get argumentive that his food will be out soon. So I said, we will just be going. Will never return, which is a shame, not many...

not one to leave a review often, however I am highly disappointed on the inconvenience and how inconsiderate not only two different staff members were towards me today but also the store manager. I called at 7:10 to place a to go order as I was on my way to work, was told by one server they don’t do to go orders. I asked why they stated because they just don’t do it. So I hung up called back 20 minutes later at 7:30 to place a to go order and this lady told me that she can place the to go order but it would have to be while I was in the restaurant, I explained I was on my way to work and wanted it to be ready when I got there instead of waiting an extra 20-30 minutes. She stated they are very short staffed and don’t do to go orders. I asked to speak to a manger and she then hung up on me. I showed up at the restaurant to make my order at 7:40 and they had 5 staff members and one two person table. This is absolutely crazy that they won’t do to go orders when they have 5 STAFF member & only one table. So I pulled off and took my business elsewhere. I will be calling...
