I was excited to try this place since I had heard good things but was sorely disappointed. It's not often I feel ripped off when going out to eat. Usually I blame myself for ordering the wrong thing but that wasn't the case this time. On the bright side vibes were great, menu had good options, service was standard. Food was nothing special and overpriced. I spent $30 for a "Southwest" burger (BBQ, 1 onion ring, bacon, pepper jack cheese that I couldn't taste), chilli cheese fries (bland fries with no seasoning, with seemingly canned chili on top), Oreo malt (a watery mcflurry that costs twice as much as mc Ds) and a kids meal with "chicken tenders" and "fruit cup" (tenders were a worse version of BK chicken fries, fruit cup was just canned cocktail fruits). Best thing I tasted was the toasted bun, everything else was lackluster and had no redeeming qualities. Wish I got a picture but essentially you'd be better off going anywhere else or making food at home. Won't be coming back unless it's a different location possibly, or to give the...
Read moreAs far as traditional fast food restaurants go, the food unfortunately did not rank even as high as somewhere like McDonald's. The extra choices were all that. Allow me to give a star at all. The burger was lackluster, especially for the restaurants specialty. By the end of it, I found myself dreading each bite more and more and eventually just stopped.
The onion rings were the only redeeming quality of the meal. Crispy and delicious as they should be.
The malt was mostly liquid and disappointing in flavor.
The service was quite good. At no point did we find ourselves waiting for refills for any substantial amount of time.
The atmosphere seems as if it's trying to fit a nostalgic vibe of an old school diner, but fails. It leaves you feeling like you're eating at the restaurant in Deliverance. At any given time, you can rest assured that some kind of evil creature may walk through the door and...
Read moreWe read the reviews and were really excited to visit a place that had good malts and burgers. We were not disappointed with the food. It was delicious with a great choice of malt flavors. However, our server was not friendly, welcoming nor informative. She seemed like she wanted to be anywhere else but at work. She said very little. Gave us no choices about cheese choices for burgers nor dipping sauces available for fries and onion rings. (I reread the menu to find out we had choices but they weren’t listed.) It was just strange and very robotic service. Not sure I’d take the trip back to Edina for this, but it was fun to say we went and enjoyed good food. Their 50’s styled chairs are comfy!! The restaurant itself isn’t all that to write home about. It gave the feeling it was dirty but it was just darkish inside. Our table and...
