Let me start by saying that I LOVE LOVE LOVE Taste Sub and grew up enjoying there subs.
Unfortunately, today I had my 2nd worst experience here with customer service. I asked the gentleman for two half #1 (he was super nice) but when it came to the you last adding the toppings on....that was a completely different story. In my attempt of telling her that I wanted one with mayo and one with out mayo, she sucked her teeth and threw the top half of the sandwich done. The customer in front of me leaned back and said "I hope she makes you subs right). I decided to continue with my order which I could tell she did not care to listen, make or even attempt to stop with the eye rolling. I even had to remind her that she left of the hot pepper that I requested for on the mayo sandwich (she literally smothered the entire sandwich with hot pepper, to the point). She literally looked rolled eyes and worded 2 unkind words. I finished ordering my second sandwich and specifically asked her for no vinegar on this sandwich, she looked sucked her teeth and put vinegar on it. Both sandwiches were inedible and thrown out as soon as we get home. $14 in the garbage.
The young man at the register could tell I was upset and tried very hard to be overly nice. However as I was paying I observed that theeye rolls and teeth sucking was also being done to the customer behind me
I will continue to go but next time ask for someone different to help me with my order if she is there
FYI. My 1st bad experience was due to same individual but I just assumed that she was having a bad...
Read moreLet me start by saying I or my wife go here at least twice a month. Depending on when you go or who is working that day my rating could be as low as half a star and as high as 5 stars. Those that have worked there a long time are very pleasant, patient and Curtious. Those that are newer seem to be just miserable to work at such a fast paced establishment and it shows. Very rude, horrible customer service but I don't hold that against the business. The freshness of the bread is 90 percent of the time really fresh. I think the later you go the quality diminishes. If you go between 12 and 2 be prepared to wait. Parking is a pain and limited during that time frame so if you are in a hurry I suggest calling ahead or coming after 3. The quality of the meat is great and they will make any combo you want as long as it is available. New customers may find it tricky at first in the sense that there are 3 parts to the process... Step 1. Order your type of sub The first person that greets you is the one who cuts the meat and or cheese for your order. That's ALL they do. Step 2. Tell the next person what you want on your order (Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, Mayo, Oil, Vinegar....... you get the rest) Step 3 This is when you pay (You will be asked is it for here or to go, do you want anything else (chips, soda.... you get the rest) and cash or charge (Discount for cash) at this point if you want your half a sub cut in half now is the time to do so. You should actually ask them to cut it once they ask here or to go. I've been going here for about 10 years so I'm use to...
Read moreIt is at this time that I must part ways with Tastee Subs. The level of disrespect I was given today and the shocking hygeine practices, gave me no choice in my decision. I ordered ahead and waited inside until one person ahead of me was served, I then realized I left my wallet in the car and I said I would be right back.
I came back in within 3 minutes and I waited as 2 persons in front of me were served, confident I was next. The second person had other items that were coming from the back. While I waited for that, the guy struck up a conversation with the now 3rd customer and began slicing his items. All the while, I was waiting like a frigging jerk watching all of this. He then proceeded to take this guy's payment. I was at this time that I had enough, it's not like you can miss a 6'3 300 pound dude standing 5 feet from you.
In addition, while I was waiting, I witnessed the make table being cleaned with numerous sandwiches. Instead of laying the butcher paper at the beginning of the make process, EVERYONE's bread has a turn to clean the counter as it is dragged the entire frikking length of the counter. In addition, people handling the sandwiches take a turn every now and then to clean the counter with their gloved hands, picking up germs and what not, I am POSITIVE foreign objects are touched from time to time, adding to the merry mix of germs and bacteria.
I cannot take anymore, I have pleaded and asked for years for a better solution to dragging customer's food on the counter and TAstee does NOT care or does NOT...
